Hollywood & Vine Breakfast or Lunch for better park strategy?

Ok this is a little about dinning but mainly on how to get the best of the park done so I posted there. I originally thought we'd do H&V for breakfast to get in early again one morning and have a head start but it will be our only big meal that day so if we did lunch instead would we have the same advantage or a better advantage at getting things done with lower waits if we are at RD instead? Our kids are young so we wont be doing, TOT, or Rockin roller coaster. Prob just TSM and maybe great movie ride, plus see characters and shows. So its not a ton to do really. I was thinking if we did lunch too than its one less morning we have to get up earlier since we'd have to be at park before 8 to get in for our reservation if we got 8am. But if were there for RD then we wont need to be there till at least after 8. Although how early should you be there for RD for HS?

I'm interested in this reply. We did breakfast here last May.
Since we can't get multiple TSM tickets, I would like to go there first to ride and have Fp+ for afternoon.
We did TSM after breakfast and there was a 29 min wait.
In also board with breakfast and would maybe do the switch over and get breakfast/lunch.

I would have to agree. Choose the latest breakfast time and get lunch items also. You also get your morning touring done before crowds.

So maybe we should do like a 10/11 breakfast/lunch and get to TSM and character greetings first thing and then FP+ TSM for later in the day too so that way if it is a long line early we still have our time later in the day.

It's a different strategy now because of FP+. Our only "must' ride in DHS is TSM and we would make early breakfast ADRS at H&V to get in before park opened. As soon as people were let in DH would go quickly from H&V to TSM to get our FPs - then after breakfast if standby wasn't too long we'd ride TSM and then get right on again with FP.

Now that you can make your TSM FP in advance...you may want to do lunch as you can make an afternoon FP+ for TSM and go straight to TSM at RD and should be able to ride standby without a long wait. Then you can have some fun in park and take a lunch rest (or even make one of the last ADRs for breakfast if you want the characters) and then can do TSM later in afternoon with FP+.

It seems that you prefer to have your bigger meal later so it will last you longer into the day which makes sense. Have a snack or something fin morning breakfast then an early lunch or late breakfast and take advantage of first couples of hours at RD.

Thanks for the advice. I dont think we'll take a break that day because it doesn't seem like it will be a super long day there and we will be out of there at a decent time in the evening not super late. I think we will just plan a later breakfast. I want to see the characters at H&V (well my kids do ;) For RD what time do we want to be at HS? We are staying at Bay lake towers so we'll be taking the bus. Also is that where the Osborne lights are? I dont think I even know what the are. I was hoping we wouldn't be there late but if thats some
thing we shouldn't miss I dont know what time they start or it gets dark?
