Not that it really means anything definite, but I noticed on the Park Hours section on Disneyworld.com,they are using the Hollywood Tower Hotel and not the Earful Tower as DHS' icon.
In my opinion ToT is the best ride in all of WDW and the Hollywood Tower Hotel is as photogenic and eye catching as it gets, especially at night, so it sounds about right for them to use it.
Oh I see, When I go to the website on my phone this is all I see:
So I was just seeing the icon (which still looks a lil like the chinese theatre to me, but now seeing the top of the page on the computer version I understand it's the TOT)
On the mobile, and the website, it looks more like the Chinese theater to me. Which makes sense since that was the focal point of the entrance before the godawful sorcerer hat
That's weird! I checked the website last night from my computer and the header I saw showed Tree of Life, Spaceship Earth, Castle, Blizzard Beach, Tower, and Typhoon Lagoon all in a row.

On the browser page on my computer it is showing te ToT in the centre too. I am fine with it being the parks icon. Cause I agree it is Disney's best ride and very photographic. And you can see it from outside the park. So it stands out.

But TOT is not unique to HS since they also have that ride at DLR. Why would they have a icon/weenie to represent the park that isn't unique to it or represent the "theme" of the park? I know that HS has been going through an identity crisis - but that appears to be changing. I don't know that TOT would be a good representative of the park, whatever the new theme ends up being.
