Hi everyone,

My husband won a trip to Newport beach, Ca. and we are going to leave a couple days early!! My daughter is coming along (She is 16!) and has never been to Ca. let alone Hollywood! We will have 1 day to do hollywood and a couple half days. What tour can you guys suggest? We are big, big movie fans!! Both old and new!! I would love to find a great tour that will take us to the movie stars homes, Beverly hills, Rodeo Drive, the sign and so on. I would love to see where movies have been filmed around town!! Are there such tours? Is starline tours the best? Help!! Sorry for all the questions!! I just want to make our short visit memorable for her!! She wants to be an actress someday!! and I think she will really love seeing as much as possible!!

Thanks in advance for all your help!!

Laurie

I am looking into this now for our upcoming trip. I am looking into Starline tours. They have several but some are in a white AC van. I would prefer a more open air thing so I can take photos like a trolley or Topless Bus.
You can check out their web site..

BTW, I looked into getting a private limo for 3 hours and it is about $220 inclusive for about 7 passenegers. They give you unlimited p/u and drop d/o. They only thing is you may or may not get any commentary depending on the driver. You can provide him with a list of places you want to see.

At least you can avoid driving in crazy traffic in a place you are not familiar with.

The only thing is it is hard to take photos from a limo. I much like the open air trolley or topless bus.

Just a suggestions. I also noticed the Holly Trolly is $1 after 6:30pm. Might be a fun ride with kids!

Would love to hear suggestions from others too!

I am interested in this also. We are traveling to Anaheim in Mid-August. My DD(16) is very interested in a tour of LA. The tour we have been looking at is allanaheimtours Legendary Los Angeles Tour - it is about 10.5 hours with some stops. One stop is Hard Rock Cafe - I believe you can get lunch there.

We are a family of 5 - Myself, DH, DD(16), DS(13) and DS(6).

Not sure how old your daughter is and how much money you want to spend, but you might consider a tour of an actual working studio rather than the homes. Warner Brothers has a great behind the scenes tour and your chances of seeing a celebrity are much greater than seeing them from a bus...unless you are wandering through Beverly Hills or Santa Monica. Enjoy your trip!

We are trying to decide whether to stay at Disneyland for 3 nights before our cruise next year or to stay near the airport or marina del ray so we will be more convenient to tours during the day. I don't think the bus tours from anaheim go to Mulholland Dr & movie Star Homes because I've hear that the big buses cant go there...Anyone know for sure?

please check out my website for an option at danshollywoodtours (.com )
thanx,
dan
