The last time I went before this year was 1996. Most of the stuff I loved 21 years ago (including a cohesive theme) are gone. A few new rides/attractions have opened that interest me (TSMM and Frozen), but overall it is a net loss.

This is so funny to me because due to health issues, I can't do a full day at any park. We plan to go to HS at around 2pm so we can stay for Fantasmic. I'm worried we won't be able to do anything and we don't plan on riding TofT or RNR or doing any Star Wars meetings.
I just want to see all the shows. I'm most excited for Indiana Jones.

We went to Universal Studios about 34 years ago. There was about 4 rides. The rest were shows and things to look at. Somehow we still stayed there from open to near close.

There are four stage shows running:

1. Beauty and the Beast-Live on Stage
2. For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-along Celebration
3. Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
4. Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple

There are also some meet and greets and other things. For December, there's some holiday entertainment. It really depends on you and your group.

For comparison, right now:
Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Magic Kingdom all have over 30 "attractions" open per the Disney website.

I'll be there in December- Muppets, Star Wars, and fireworks are enough to lure me!

You actually left off Under the Sea: The Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Disney Junior: Live on Stage shows. I know they're not for everybody, but they are there.

I agree. After our two previous trips to DHS, and doing everything except for meeting Kylo Ren, ToT and RnRC, there isn't much we will do a second time. My daughter has met and gotten the autographs of everyone there, so that takes out M&Gs, and some things we aren't intersted in doing again.

For our next trip, this is what we want to do again:

- TSMM
- Muppets Show
- Star Tours
- Frozen sing along
- Beauty and the Beast
- Indiana Jones

The rest of the attractions for us are a "one and done."

Contrast that with MK, where the only things we won't do again would be Swiss Family Treehouse and Stitch.

Wow, I guess even Disney won't own those, ha ha! I actually love Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I have never seen Disney Jr.

Oops. I must've missed that one (used the 2013 list as a starting point). Never done LMA, though it does sound like it would have been fun to watch.

Bottom line, is if you've liked HS within the last decade, you'll still like it now. If you didn't care for it within the last decade, you won't care for it now.

If it was a 1/2 day park in the last decade, it is a 1/2 day park now. If it was a full day (or more) park in the last decade, it is a full day (or more) park now.

If you haven't been to HS, then you just won't know until you try it... but I would plan on a full day or you have a good chance of not fitting in nearly everything you may want to try/see.

We were there a week ago today. We stayed from rope drop until closing. We could have used more time. Had a fantastic day. I loved this park.

Yes, we like it a lot, too.
It's not "dated" if you've not seen it.
On it's own merits, it's a higher-tech theater show than most guests have likely seen elsewhere than WDW.

We enjoy this show every trip. Love all the effects that are included. My daughter's favorite has always been Ariel so that helps, but it is a good show.

we were there in august and had a great time!!
i was expecting a half day park, but we ended up spending lots of time there (we were at WDW for 3 weeks, so lots of days at DHS)...
and i can't ride RNRC or ToT.....so that's even without those two rides....in fact we never made it to star tours or indiana jones and we still had a lot to do..

surprisingly, the two toddlers in our group LOVED the live pixar music....they sat truly transfixed....and the 3 year old asked to watch the whole thing again on youtube just the other day....i would never have predicted that!!

ok...so what did we do when we were there?

- the street theater of course (hollywood players or whatever they're called - we always stop to watch them)..
- toy story mania (quite a lot of times)
- beauty and the beast stage show
- Pixar live music concert
- frozen sing along (did this 3 times)
- fantasmic
- star wars fireworks (i LOVED this - better than fantasmic for me)..
- the little mermaid show
- disney junior - never saw this before but with the toddlers, we did it this time....really cute!! (the 3 year old saw the facade of the building and started screaming 'mickey's house' so we had to go but it turned out it was very good)
- muppet vision 3D
- ToT (the rest of the group, not me)
- RNRC (only one of us rides this, so he did it single rider)
- launch bay (meet and greet - really fun)
- buzz and woody meet and greet (buzz is screamingly funny!!)
- star lord and baby groot meet and greet (sooooooooooo funny - we did this one 3 times!!)
- storm troopers march or whatever that's called....watched this one a bunch of times....it's very hypnotic...

and we had fun meals there as well...the character dinner at hollywood and vine and highly interactive lunches at 50's prime time (we ate there twice)

i've probably left something out...but that's what comes to mind... and again, we didn't do indiana jones or star tours..
oh, we did do the great movie ride our first week (it closed that week)....no loss, they had changed it so drastically from what it originally was that we were happy to see it go...
