What time do we need to get on a bus at Hollywood Studios in order to get to Magic Kingdom to enter by 4pm for MNSSHP? Is there another Disney mode of transportation to get there or is the bus the only option?

The only other Disney mode of transportation would be a Minnie Van.
I would suggest leaving around 3:30.

Well if you really wanted to, you could take the skyliner or boat to Epcot and monorail to ttc and then monorail or ferry to Magic Kingdom. But that would be crazy unless you were up for an adventure.

You skipped the almost mile walk through EPCOT and the need for a park hopper
Well that’s not technically Disney transportation although it is the number one modus operandi.😂 But I did say it was crazy. And that’s what makes it so. 😂

A couple notes on early entry for MNSSHP,

The 4pm early entry open secret is, well, open, so people do show up early for it.

MK CMs will start an entry line or lines for Party guests off to the side to not block up the day guest gates that remain open.

Because they’ve done this before and are better at managing crowds than a lot of times they get credit for, they often actually start letting people in around 3:45 or so. They don’t want a big traffic jam to build until 4 sharp.

So if you want to get in the earliest possible I’d leave DHS no later than 3. You’ll need a spot on the bus (won’t be the only one hopping), so while it’s only a 15 minute ride, by the time a bus comes, you go 15 mins, you get through a security line with a bunch of people in costumes, you’ll be behind people already lined up and waiting to get in.

Good luck and enjoy the party!

Recommend you take the direct bus, or if you're comfortable with Uber/Lyft (and paying for it).
Rideshare drop off is at the TTC. Minnie Van will drop off at the MK.
Direct bus from DHS makes the most sense. The wait for the bus is likely to be less then time it takes to go from the TTC to the MK.

We have tickets to the party so we can get there at 4pm and don't need park reservations. I don't know where EPCOT plays into getting from Hollywood Studios to Magic Kingdom.

Timandalicia made, the, tongue in cheek, suggestion of taking, boat or walking from DHS to EPCOT then taking monorail to TTC tben monorail to MK. That requires walking through EPCOT and park admission, hopper.

Direct bus or Minnie Van are the only options which make sense.

I hoped that was the case but I don't know the transportation options because we don't go often so I wanted to make sure. Thanks.

Not to mention a couple HOURS to get to MK that way. Sheesh! Tongue in cheek fer sure.

That said, we've often done that route because we hate the buses THAT much. It's rather fun unless you're the going-commando sort who has to squeeze maximum park time out of every waking hour.
