Which is better for a family of 6 dh 42 me 36 ds 15 ds 12 dd8 dd5...we like rides like dinosaur at animal kingdom, dh fav is actually small world at magic ...lol, shows like the 4d disney show at magic, and monsters inc laugh floor ....so some exciting some family rides....which is a better fit? I went to both when I was younger and I dont remember too much....we r already planning on 1-2 days at magic.

Are you skipping one of the parks? If that's the question, I'd skip DHS--there's so much to do at Epcot (Soarin', Turtle Talk with Crush, Test Track being some favorites of ours.) Also, touring the countries is fun--even for the 5 and 8 year olds, if you allow them time to do the KidCot stations.

Happy Planning!

Personally I'd say HS. With TSMM, RnRC, ToT, and the Star Wars ride, it might fit your family better. I love Epcot, it has my favorite ride, but if I had to pick one it would be difficult for me to pass up riding TSMM and ToT, and going to see Muppetvision.

If you can only do one I would do DHS. It's our family's favorite park. So much for everyone to enjoy.

Thanks , leaning towards Hollwood though Epcot looks fun too!!! HS looks great except Tower of Terror kinda looks a little too scary for us all...I hate heights ...lol ...can anyone recommend some cheap dining there thats good?

DHS - ToT, RnR, TSM, Star Tours, Muppets, Great Movie Ride, Jedi Training Academy, Animation Academy
Epcot - Soarin, Test Track, Mission Space, The Seas

If you could split a day between Epcot and AK, I would do that. DHS is a full day park for us.

I guess I would say, how long has it been since you've gone, and when would you go again? You mention some favorites so you've been before- have you done Soarin' and Turtle Talk with Crush?

If you go every few years I would hit Epcot this time if you've not done the aforementioned attractions, and then hit DHS in a few years when rumored new lands have happened.

I'm actually kind of surprised at all the love for DHS.

We went to magic 5 years ago and to both magic and animal kingdom 23 months ago, we r definitely doing magic again next week....we love it ...kids LOVE ak,doing that, and we r also doing aquatica...so that leaves 1 other choice btw
hollywood and epcot...i just looked up hs on u tube and dd5 cant ride the Rocking coaster and we r all scared of tot so now back to square one LOL ...these 2 parks I only did as a 10-12 yr old and i just dont remember, I do remeber parts of epcot i found boring though at that age, I remember crying, ', bored and hot...LOL

I am leaning towards suggesting Epcot, simply because I feel like there is more to do there. Soarin' is a similar to a 4D experience. Though it is not 3D, it's a panoramic screen and has "smell-o-vision." Turtle Talk is similar to Monsters Inc in terms of how Crush interacts with the audience (I think, I've never seen the Monsters Inc show!). There are quite a few dark rides and even a couple boat rides like IASW (as in they're boat rides, not similar theming).

HS, though it has several shows, really only has 6 rides. I would not say HS studios is skipable, but I would not choose it ever Epcot, either. My suggestion would be to spend a morning in AK and an evening in HS, leaving a whole day in Epcot.

Ok well the actual ride on TOT is not scary at all, but I still vote for Epcot- but I loved the different countries even as a high school student. Soarin' and Crush are pretty magical too. There are rumors of Carsland and Star Wars Land at DHS so that's why I say go back there in a couple years.

Don't forget: Spaceship Earth, Sum of All Thrills, Maelstrom, Gran Fiesta Tour/Mexico (very much like IASW), The Land, Journey Into Imagination, Ellens Energy (Those are just the attractions that move)

I could go for and recommend either park but I think the drawing line would be the evening show. I much prefer Fantasmic. It is a great show to watch! For that reason if it was my choice I would choose DHS.

Have you looked at the attractions at each park? I would go through the lists and see which your family prefers.

I would also check the date you are looking at going and make sure Phantasmic is running that day if you lean that direction.

for us it would DHS. There are so many awesome things there, and they open early in the AM. I love the Beauty and the Beast show, Fantasmic, TOT, Star Tours, there are awesome places to eat, and it is just plain magic. Not sure what all the Epcot love is about, we enjoy Epcot, but DHS is just so much more Disney magic.

At Hollywood Studios there are some cheaper options for dining. Pizza Planet is a good quick service for sure. A lot of people here suggest Sci-Fi, but 50's Primetime is personally my favorite. The meals are delicious, and big enough to share. The atmosphere is super fun too!
