What is good there? It really is so difficult planning meals at this park! I'm looking for a light lunch, but I have some places that members of my party will not go to.

Out - Sci Fi and Pizza Planet
Also out - 50's PTC because we're going to eat there on another day

Suggestions? I am thinking Starring Rolls for their sandwiches, but I heard that they sell out of them pretty quickly. If we plan to get there at 11:30am, would that be ok?

I also really, really dislike ABC Commissary and would like to avoid it if at all possible.

Thanks.

I would suggest Fairfax Fare. QS with chicken, ribs, hot dogs, beef brisket, salad. Very nice. Also near a burger place if anyone is looking for that. JMHO.

We highly recommend Brown Derby for a light lunch - we've just ordered salads and appetizers there, and they were very good. It's my new favorite TS restaurant at WDW. It was perfect for lunch - nice to have an ADR and not have to wait in CS lines. When we do CS, we usually get in line between 11am and 11:15 because CS is sometimes busy by 11:30.

Pixarmom - What did you order there? I didn't care for HBD last visit but Perhaps I should have ordered their Cobb salad or something smaller than the filet...

OP: Our Family enjoyed the "Sunset Market" area between ToT and RnR...as PP mentioned ...Fairfax fries now has a chicken/rib combo...

There are also Pizza, burger, salad, chicken options there...

but I had the Italian sandwich from Catalina Eddie's...and I think it was the YUMMIEST sandwich I've ever had at WDW.

Seating is outside on picnic tables - a drawback for some.

Hugs,
Mary

I used to not like ABC Commissary but they have a new menu up on AllEars that looks interesting. I'm thinking of giving them a try next time.

We usually go to the Backlot Express. I love the Southwestern Salad there. Very light and refreshing.

Our favourite is Wolgang Puck Express at DTD. Yes I realize it is not DHS but we are so unimpressed with the CS offerings there we often leave early just to get lunch.:scared1:

We left DHS and took the boat to YC, where we ate lunch at the Captain's Grille. Good food, quiet atmosphere and a nice break from the craziness of the parks. The boat ride is nice, too. We've done the same thing during a day at EPCOT.
