Hollywood Studios fireworks...where to stand?

Just read this morning that DHS will bring back a fireworks show, even though it's not on the calendar yet. I've never seen anything like this at this park. I'm assuming it's from the Mann Theater. Is there a good area to view from? A spot off to the side that no one thinks of but is still pretty good?

Thanks!

Not sure which show they’re bringing back but we usually posted up around/between the area in front of Mann but at the end of the entrance road. There’s a statue of a cameraman and a stand on the other side. They do a projection show on the building and the surrounding trees light up so I like seeing the full effects. You’ll have to see where they mark the white lines. Nobody stayed behind them at HEA last week so if there’s not enough staff just stand wherever you want.

You'll know when you get there. It is projected on the theater and surrounding buildings to both sides, so find a spot that has a clear view of that. Towards the park entrance side of that big open area in front of the theater, there are places where you can sit on the walls and still see good if I remember right.

Whatever it is I hope it's at least as good as the previous Star Wars show.
They haven't announced any new fireworks. The show that they are doing and what is being referenced is the projection-based pre-show that they used to show before the SW fireworks. It's not a new show.

If correct, our luck isn't changing. I was there for it on dozens of nights and it's nothing that the OP has to worry about getting a spot for.
What I posted is correct. Unless they decided to come up with another brand new show called Wonderful World of Animation. It only premiered in May 2019, so it's still fairly new. I'm sure there will be something else that comes out later, they probably just wanted to get something going and bringing back that fills that space.

I never understood the logic of having the WWoA show considering what was to follow. I worked the SW dessert party regularly and escorted the party Guests to their private viewing area. Sometimes I hung around for a little while and watched the show. I didn't get the sense that it was a must see.

I definitely don't think it's a must see, but I think it is a cute show. Agree that it didn't really flow into the SW show. My thinking is that they are just trying to get something going there at night right now.

How about Fantasmic? Oh, I know why not, too expensive and too much staff required. All it takes to put on the WWoA show is a few techs, and done.

The theater was drained and they have been doing work on the mechanics of it. I have no doubt it will be back at some point.

That's my thoughts on Disney in general. There was a time when WDW and DL offered so much at night and in the way of parades. Not so much anymore. And it can't be pinned on C19. This was happening before hand. I was hoping for F! to return for the summer. That would make sense with the enormous crowds. Nope. Pay the same amount....get so much less.

I've spent a lot time inside the mountain and on the boat and know exactly how it all works. IMO, and as a mechanical engineer, they've had plenty of time to refurbish it. It's time. Uhh, I think I'm off topic.

It depends on your height. In the past, HS was one of the hardest parks for me to see the projection show, I'm height challenged. The first time I tried was the most successful and it was an accident. My adult son and I were leaving the park and didn't even know about the Star Wars show (it was when it first started). We stopped at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and the main road where the attraction wait times sign used to be, I was able to see most of the higher projections. People were trying to stand on that raised curb type thing and cast members were making them get off.

The other two times I got there early and purposely got a good spot. Time #1 I was about 1 1/2 early and was sitting on the ground and a CM came and got me and told me they would move me to a better place, which they did right where the tape was going to be in the front between the open spot and the dessert party people. Me and a couple of families with kids were there and agreed amongst ourselves that we would make sure the kids could see. A minute before the show started, two very tall very large men came and got right in front of me and some of the kids. I kind of scooted over a bit so the kids might could peek between them but I saw nothing but fireworks. The second time my adult son and I got there about a hour before the show and stood behind a row of people in scooters/wheelchairs. Our thinking was no one was going to get in front of them right? My son could stand behind me since he is taller. Wrong, again about a minute before the show some tall men came and stood in front of the row, some of the scooter people were able to stand (one poor woman had a broken foot but was able to stand with her knee on her scooter seat) which of course, meant I could not see around any of them. We were on the edge on the tape where they create a middle aisle so I could sort of peek around the corner hanging the top half of my body over the tape to see some of the projections on the left side.
