I'm planning a trip w/my boyfriend this coming Sept. & see that HS has EMH the Friday we're there. He's really into Star Wars so the new fireworks show will be a priority & will happen one night out of the 5 we are there (except Tues. since we'll be at MNSSHP).

My question is should I plan to go the night of EMH or is there a better evening during the week to go hang out for a bit, go on RnR, ToT & Star Tours? Toy Story would be nice but if it doesn't happen neither of us would care. And we also do not care about seeing Fantasmic..

I know the hours for the fireworks aren't posted yet for this Sept. but I see on that EMH night, the park will close at 9:30 if that will help. If anyone has any advice, that would be great.

Other than the fireworks, which should be at the "regular time," even on EMH evenings, the park will tend to be more crowded on a PM EMH night, and virtually everyone who does not have a small child in their party will be in the lines for TSM, ToT and RnRC.

They have been doing HS and MK at teh same time (I think on fridays).. not sure what that has done for crowds but with 2 parks having emh I think it's helping. disclaimer, it hasn't been mega crowded until this last week so we'll see how summer crowds hold up to this over the next few weeks.

I don't think we can say that they have been doing DHS EMH and MK EMH at the same time.

On Friday's, MK offers AM EMH and DHS offers PM EMH.

In past years, it was actually common to offer an AM EMH at one park on a given day and a PM EMH at another park on that same day.

I'm 99% sure that there had been a few over the last month or two that were both together. I remember it because I was looking to hop parks after seeing hte Hs fireworks to find mk had emh as well. I could be wrong maybe it was 1 specific night they tested it.

Anything at WDW is possible, but...
I just checked two separate historical sources for March, April, May, & June 2016.
No overlapping PM EMH.

It's quite possible that a guest not paying close attention to specifics in the listings
might conclude that both EMH overlapped, but that's not the case.

thanks for clarifying..

Thanks for the replies. :) I think I'll choose another night then to go to HS. Even in Sept. with only a few attractions everyone will be interested in, not sure if it'll be worth it for what will most likely only be one hour left after the fireworks.

Even though the Star Wars fireworks don't yet appear on the DHS park hours, they will likely be nightly in the fall.
