hollywood studios dinner

hey all! i need some advice. I booked hollywood & vine w/ fantasmic package on our first night in disney (may 16th) now i'm double thinking this meal. we're on the deluxe dp so we can pretty much go anywhere. i figure we don't need the fantasmic package???

we're already booked for 50's prime time, hollywood brown derby the rest of our vacation so we don't want to do those twice.

what would you guys recommend? how long would it take us to leave hollywood studios and go somewhere else? closest resorts? parks?

We do the FDP ever since they cut Fantasmic down to a couple of times a week. We usually do Mama Melrose as we've always had good meals there. For us personally, we will never go back to H&V.

Can you rebook the FDP at the Brown Derby and then replace your previous Brown Derby meal with something else? You are just a boat ride away from the Boardwalk and/or the Beach/Yacht Club. There are plenty of places to try over there, most notably, Flying Fish or the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Just a thought.
