Likely due to a private event in which the park is rented out. It happens from time to time.

Maybe something Star Wars related? That's the day after the new movie comes out, although I guess any events would be more likely the day of/night before.

Yep, it's probably another hard ticket event. They don't give anything for free anymore. I'm surprised Mickey doesn't have pickpockets working for him in the parks, like Fagin from "Oliver Twist".
