1. How late do the characters meet? Specifically Jake, McQueen/Mater, Mike/Sully?? We have a 550pm ADR at Sci Fi and didn't know if we we could go meet them after dinner? Can you get FP for characters??

2. Is this doable plan??
Going 9/30 CL 3
(FYI. We Will be doing rider swaps but will use later in the evening)

Rope drop
RNR standby- Rider swap
TOT 9-1000 FP- RIder swap
Disney jr 940 show (do you think we can make it on time)
TSMM FP 1000-1100
GMR (depending on wait times)
Take DS 3 to meet Jake while others ride GMR (if time)
Beauty and the beast 1145 show
Lunch
Indiana jones 145pm show
Star tours (fit in FP somewhere)?
Frozen sing along 300show
LMA 430 show
550 ADR at Sci Fi(how long should I plan)
Fantasmic

3. How long do the shows last? Specially the ones I've listed???

I think making Disney Jr at 9:40 is going to be tight if not impossible. Tight if you save tie rider swaps for later. Impossible if you use them. You are talking spending at least 30 minutes at RNR and at least 20-30 at TOT to cycle members of your party through twice. (Took us about 45 minutes to cycle RNR with a rope drop front of line standby and then a 25 minute wait that took less than 25 minutes for a second ride.)

If you arrive at the park 45 minutes before opens, you stand a good chance to be at the front of the crowd so you can be one of be first to RNR.

But I just see it as stressful hustling. If you do make it, it would be right on time. But this won't be possible, IME, with the rider swaps. You can always try but then go on to plan B if you don't make it. If you do want to try, I think saving your rider swaps for later that day would be the only way.

My plan B suggestion:

RNR rope drop standby and rider swap
TOT FP and rider swap.
Hustle to TSMM for FP
Meet and greets with Jake and company, GMR for adults if the wait is acceptable
11:20 Disney Junior show
Lunch
B&B 1pm show

Then continue with your plan

Not sure how long dinner would be. I say to plan an hour but it may be a little longer.

FP Star tours at 5:15, rider swap can be held until after dinner if you run short on time.

I agree with Lisa Loves Pooh. Other than that, I really like your plan. You can throw in Muppets if you find you have some extra time, too. The Frozen Sing-Along and Beauty and the Beast are 30 minutes ish. Have a great DHS day!!

(By the way, I particularly like your plan because it illustrates that there is plenty to do to fill a full day at HS, even though others bad-mouth it frequently. And you don't have Muppets or Ariel on your list. )

Thanks I think I like your plan B. We will definitely be saving the RS for later in the day but still don't want to be so pushed for time!! Thanks everbody!!

Agreed! She also doesn't have one man's dream, animation academy or the fact that you might want to ride some rides more than once. I also think you should add time exploring the Honey I shrunk the kids playground... my kids love that!

I actually think you will be just fine with your first two rider swaps assuming you are at the park well before RD (try to get there between 8:15 & 8:30 if you can) and are one of the first families through. Just make sure you "keep it moving" when you enter and you will walk right on RNR.

My first worry in your plan is GMR. That can back up early...

Good Luck!

Any idea what time we should catch the bus at POP to make it to HS by 815? Or would it be quicker to drive?

I'd try to allow 1 hour before you want to be there. It allows time in case you just miss one pulling away and have to wait a while for the next. We're not super early-birds, so it was hard to get out for the RD bus on our DHS day from Pop. . . Just get in the bus line when I realize I left my magic bands in the room! After trotting back to get them, I was finally in line at 7:40, waited maybe 10 min for a bus, and at DHS by 8:10, which put us very near the front of the lines. It was slow to fill until 8:30 or so, and rapidly got packed from that point.

Thought this might be a good thread to ask the question - Now that Animation Academy is closed where can we meet Mickey? I had all my plans done a while ago and now with 2 weeks out I've had to revise DHS. Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere, I've been out of the loop since making my FP+ ressies.
