We are Disney World veterans, but making our first trip to Disneyland. :goodvibes

Since I'm not sure when we'll make it back to Disneyland (and my daughter has never flown/been to California before), I would like to take a little time to get some pictures of my kids with some of the LA/Beverly Hills/Hollywood icons -- like the Hollywood sign, Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive, etc. I don't want to take a lot of time, but want to get in a few pictures while we are there. And we're flying in, so we won't have a vehicle. What's the best way to do this? I haven't purchased airline tickets yet, but in shopping around it looks like we'd have a mid-afternoon arrival time and a morning departure time. So should we try to see some of the sights on the way from the airport to Disneyland (of course, we'd have luggage in tow, so it would be a "hop out of the cab and take a picture and hop back in" kind of thing.... Or is there some kind of shuttle or service we can have the hotel (staying at the Disneyland Hotel) set up for us on a day we are not going to the parks?

Welcome to the DL Boards. :)

If you are not going to rent a car it will be time-consuming to go see the sites that you are asking about. The Hollywood area is north of the airport and Disneylan is east of the airport. Los Angeles/Orange County are really spread out and you'll have to hop on different freeways to get to these areas, plus drive the side streets as you near those destinations.

They offer bus tours from the Anaheim hotels, and you can certainly do one of the Hollywood tours. These are all-day events.

I'm going to go ahead & move this thread to the Southern California section of our boards. :)

I am planning a similar trip as you, also staying at the Disneyland Hotel and wanting to see a bit of the Hollywood area. It will be me and my two teens, and I don't relish the idea of driving in LA traffic. As a result, this is what we have decided to do: http://tours.coachamerica.com/grayl...our_id/1029/mode/tour_detail/location_id/1021
It says that it will pick you up from the DLH and return you there at the end of the day. It seemed like the best option when I was planning, but our trip is in May/June so we haven't actually tried it yet. I'd love to hear feedback from anyone else on this thread who has tried it and can offer a review.

We are planning a similar trip in late July. Since our actual time in Hollywood will be limited to just one day, we were thinking of booking a Starline tour @ www.starlinetours.com. I was wondering if anyone has done a tour with them before and if it was a good experience. I would also be interested in any advice anyone has to offer!
