on the dinner menu, cobb salad for 2 is listed. is this enough to share between 2 diners for dinner and nothing else for the dinner? thanks!:p

Hi,

The cobb salad is huge, but not that good...actually I found the pieces so small that the salad was mushy.

If you want a great cobb salad head to Planet Hollywood outside of Pleasure Island.

If you want a great dinner inside of MGM...try Hollywood and Vine buffet or Mama Melroses.

When we went last summer, I actually only had the Cobb salad from appetizer menu as my entree. I LOVED IT! I actually liked that everything was in little pieces. :) I have never finished an entire salad like I did there.

DH never would have gone for "salad for dinner." I think he had the lamb when we were there.

I don't think we would eat there for dinner again. Maybe for lunch, and only for that salad. I would rather have dinner at Prime Time or Mama Melrose's at the Studios.

I'm sorry, but the Cobb salad that I had at the Hollywood Brown Derby was DISGUSTING!!! I've never had a bad meal there other than that salad. It was so salty :( YUCK! I'm having flashbacks to the gross taste right now. Maybe I caught them on a bad day or something, but I never order this again. There are too many other good things on the menu at this restaurant to chance it IMHO!

I would have to agree. And I am not really very picky, but I do eat alot a salads. The Cobb at the BD is a chopped salad. That being said, the salad I had may have gone through a blender. Very mushy!

I'm going to have to sound like a crank also on the Brown Derby's Cobb Salad. In fact, it was so bad we have never set foot back in there since. Ialways thought that maybe we had just hit it on a bad day but sounds like others have had the same experience. We prefer to eat at the Prime Time Cafe.

I love the Cobb Salad!!
DH and I go to HBD for lunch everytime we are there and always get the Cobb. YUM!
Never order one anywhere else anymore.
I make it at home, but can't get it chopped as fine (guess that's a good thing for some of you;) )
Everyone has different tastes.

I like the Cobb salad at BD. I believe it's served "authentic"--finely chopped, as I like it.
Don't think it's big enough for two (with nothing else).

Our cobb salads have always been great...we went there twice last year. On our second visit, they didnt have shrimp for it. We were told the chef didnt like the looks of the shrimp that day and pulled it from the menu.

We were there during the first week of July. We have always done lunch there, never dinner.
