Hollywood Brown Derby - Dinner items at lunch?

Hi everyone, I was googling reviews for HBD (I have a reservation for our November trip but am second guessing using two credits there) and read on one that at lunch you can choose from either the lunch or dinner menu. Is that something they still do?

Oh and I just noticed the Cobb is not an app option anymore - how accommodating are they there if I asked for that? This trip is my first venture into signature territory so I wasn't sure.

Thanks!

The Cobb salad is still available on both the lunch and dinner menu as an entree and you are right it's no longer listed as an appetizer for either meal in the restaurant. Since it's a new change I think you'll just have to ask to order it as a half order or request it served as an entree with extra small plates as your table's appetizer. Another possibility is to eat at the Lounge and order it as a small plate.

Correct, the Cobb is not an appetizer anymore.

We were there about a month ago on the FDP. If I was not able to order it as an app, I was just going to forgo my ticket and pay OOP. He was able to provide it with manager approval.

We have dined there 4 times in the past year and only once did they accomodate a dinner entree (duck) at lunch for DD. However, that particular lunch was late and close to dinner time. This past trip was an earlier lunch and they would not.

Btw, the shrimp and grits are absolutely amazing. Better than Narcoosees and California Grill brunch.

We just had lunch there last week. while the menu for lunch is different than dinner, we were very pleased with the options available. The cobb salad at lunch was very good.

We have the DxDDP and will be using 2 credits so just wasn't sure how 'worth it' it is to use two credits at lunch but this far into planning I don't really know how much else I could switch around, not a lot of lunch deluxe options. If nothing else I think the trip after this I will head there and pay OOP, seems like a 'bargain' signature.

Thanks!

I totally get it. That’s exactly how we feel with 2 credit lunch options on the deluxe plan. We tend to use 2 credits at BD to watch Fantasmic. A lot of times we end up eating at Biergarten twice.

All this HBD talk has me wanting the crab and corn chowder for breakfast now...
