Hollywood Brown Derby at MGM

We've always had a good meal at the Brown Derby. The ONLY downside is the fact that its 2 credits on the dining plan.

We are repeat customers as well! We eat there every trip, and the food has always been top notch, and the service is good as well. Try the grapefruit cake--it's very very good!

My wife gets this all the time but last year she said it wasnt as good. Anyone notice this? Maybe it was just a bad cake day.

We are the opposite. Four people, no one liked their meal, service was awful, will not eat there again.

Maybe it was just a bad day. I think even the best restaurant in the world cant have it perfect everytime. Give it another try.

Haven't been yet, but we're going for just a snack (paying OOP) on our upcoming trip -- didn't want to waste 2 credits each for a dinner there!

We really enjoyed our first (and only right now) visit there. The food was outstanding. Service was slow but it was not our servers fault, they were shorthanded and she was racing around like a mad woman. Even admist the stress, she was VERY funny and amusing.

We would dine there again in a minute.

Finally got there on our last trip and we all loved it -- DH and 2 DDs. I was somewhat apprehensive because DH is very critical and considering the pricey menu, I figured he'd find something wrong. But he loved it! We shared the cobb salad for an appetizer and liked it very much. I had the grouper and DD and DH had the salmon. My younger DD asked for a hamburger even though it wasn't on the dinner menu and it was no problem. We also shared the grapefruit cake for dessert. :thumbsup2

One of my fondest Disney dining memories was at the Brown Derby....parts of which didn't have a lot to do with just the restaurant I'll admit:

Sitting on the patio on a beautiful January afternoon, having cobb salad and grapefruit cake for lunch with my big sister, who I never thought in a million years would come to WDW with me. Great food, great server. great day, great company ::yes::

I've had several lovely meals here. My favorite of many great dinners last fall.

The salmon on polenta is to die...

We loved the food and atmosphere there in June. The service was slow possibly due to a staffing shortage, but we had a great time!

The Brown Derby? One of my favorites, and I tend to eat there at least once a visit to WDW. (Try the Cobb Salad)

Enjoy

We are going there for my DH's birthday during our upcoming trip...he is a caricature artist, so he's excited to see the caricatures on the walls of all the old stars. I must say they did well w/the theming, from what I saw on the picture page on allears...it really looks like the original! The food pics posted here looked great, too...does stink that it is 2 TS credits, but so was HDD for us last year and we had a blast there! I am looking forward to Brown Derby!

Dustmouse I just finished (all 10 pages) of your dining review....it was great....that's the kind of detail I like to see in a review :thumbsup2
