How is Hollywood and Vine's dinner ? We have been there for lunch and enjoyed it...wondering what the dinner typically offers for food.

thanks!

I'm curious, too. I got the Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic! package for June 29th but I really wanted Mama Melrose. So, is it worth it? TIA!

We had H &V last year for the F. package. I was very dissapointed. :sad2: The food wasn't very warm, the buffet was a mess and lots of dishes were empty.

I was one of the lucky ones that was able to get a Mama Melrose F. package for July. I'm hoping it's better. My dh had said if we had to go back to H & V not to book it as he thought it was inedible... and this man will eat just about anything. :scared:

I was there July 4th last year... so hopefully they've stepped things up a notch and it will be just fine.

ugh sounds bad.... we will skip it. Thanks for the info !

We have H&V for the F! in May. We didn't care for MM so we chose to try here. We've heard lots of mixed reviews, but we really just wanted to the ressie for the F! package. Besides, if the food is that bad, I can just load up on extra dessert, right?!

I would suggest eating lots of the desserts--they are the best part of H&V. We've gone twice as we try to always give a place two tries in case they had a bad night. This is one we wish we had stopped after one try. The service was terrible...from the hostess seating us, to our server, to tables being cleaned. The food was bland and mediocre at best, luke warm and they constantly ran out of items and took forever to replace. In a word: YUK!

I suggest LOTS of desserts... I paid $200 for all of us to basically eat Rice Krispy treats! :scared1:

That being said... I don't regret doing it because you get reserved seating for the show.

Wow. Just have to say we had a fine time at H & V for the F! dinner package last year. Food was good, hot food hot & cold food cold. Messes were cleaned up promptly; near-empty dishes were replenished constantly. Desserts were wonderful. Service was good.

It was noisy - that was our only complaint. But every Disney buffet we've been to has been noisy. And every national chain buffet we've been to was noisy, too...think that goes with the territory.

We have always liked this place quite a bit - we have eaten here for F! dinner package the past 2 Decembers. We have never encountered bad service, in fact the opposite - this is one of the most helpful staff for DS's food allergies. We have never encountered empty trays on the buffet. DH and SIL ate a ton of the creamed corn bread dish. I think the chocolate mousse is the best in all of WDW (and I have had a lot of mousse there!;))
In fact, last Dec, when we found out that they had changed the way the F! dinner package works (as far as getting into the show), we didn't even bother going but just enjoyed the dinner and headed over to TSM afterwards!
