Hollywood and Vine update

I just got a call from Disney dining. I had a PS for lunch there for April. He said that H&V was ending breakfast as of 3/23 and lunch would be ending as of 4/25. From 3/23 to 4/25, they would continue the lunch but there would be no characters. As of 4/25, dinner would be the only meal. He said the changes were due to "guest trends."

I know lots of people like this restaurant. My feelings are maybe it's got a lot to do with pricey cafeteria type food.

The food at H&V is not "cafeteria type" but a great selection of salads, entrees, sides and desserts. The reason they are cutting back is the same reason WDW is cutting back everywhere. Lack of booked guests in the forseeable future.

Maybe I have poor taste or something, but I thought the breakfast when we were there 2 weeks ago was wonderful. The selection was out of this world! The restaurant was, however, barely half full, so perhaps there is a bit of justification in the decision to discontinue it. Perhaps they should have reduced the number of offerings first, before totally eliminating it.

DD, who is 5, said it was the best day of her life, and we left the park immediately after breakfast and came home that day! Breakfast was all we did, and to her, it was the best day of her little life!
