hollywood and vine or mama melroses for fantasmic pckg

Trying to choose between mama melroses or hollywood and vine for the fantasmic dinner show package. Which one do people prefer?

I have not been to MM but have gone numerous times to Hollywood and Vine for the pkg and also not with it.......we like the selections that are there.......maybe someone can give you a heads up to MM also.....

There is no extra charge for the Fantasmic Dinner Pkg. We're done it the last two years at H & V. Would've done it this year but all the dinner pkg's were gone by the time I called to make ADR's for Dec trip.

I wasn't that big a fan of H&V so I'd definately say mama melrose. We liked mama melrose a lot - the food was great and our server was great, but I have read such bad reviews of the place here which is weird. We're going back next week so if you want I can let you know how it went.

I don't know about people, but I prefer H&V.

However, I wouldn't buy the package. The seats aren't as good as the ones you could get without paying anything. So, might as well not, kwim?

I like Mama Melrose but my kids aren't big fans. You can't go wrong with Hollywood and Vine however as they have a great selection and everything is good. Desserts could be better but I rarely have room for them anyway.

We had the Fantasmic package this last time out and when we went to dinner were told that with the package, we couldn't use our Dining Experience Discount card so we change the package to just dinner and figured we would sit with everyone else. Turned out to be a raining night anyway and Fantasmic was cancelled.

I always do the package! Its great not to wait on line depending on the time of year. We usually do H & V. I haven't done MM in years. I also love Brown Derby. I thought MM was ok, but I should go back again to try it.

Fantasmic is an ampitheater. So the seats are not better than anyone else but guarenteed. I have had to stand in the back once and with 3 small kids that wasn't fun. I find all the seats to have the same view, 3 water screens, the boats are passing everyone and I can see all the actors on stage.

I like Hollywood & Vine. I tried Mam Melrose with a friend and we both found all of the food to be quite yucky.

We chose H&V for our Fantasmic! package and it was fine...lots of choice...a few items are the buffet were very tasty and made a nice meal...we had 4:10 ADRs, which I found to be good timing, right before the restaurant got busy and noisy...and we were ready for a nightime snack with Fantasmic!, which is always fun...like popcorn at the movies...and personally, I thought the desserts at H&V were wonderful...we had a great selection and everything was very tasty...March 2007 was our experience...

We have tried both and definately prefer Mama Melrose. The food at H&V was just too bland, and I am a picky eater and prefer food to be bland, it was too bland for my tastes.
