HollyWood and Vine Character Breakfast Cancelled!!!

Oh no This was one of my favorite character breakfasts, too.

H & V is my DD's ABSOLUTE favorite place to eat! She was devastated when I told her we couldn't eat there this summer! Am I right in thinking there isn't another breakfast option at MGM? We always book breakfast & head to the 1st Beauty & the Beast show so she can watch Four for a Dollar perform.

I've been there for lunch & it hasn't been that full, but breakfast was always packed! Has anyone gotten any response to complaints? I really feel bad for the phone agents having to take the calls! I try not to complain to them, but sometimes I just can't help it!

They rebooked us into a character breakfast at Ohana's. How is that one?

We went to Ohana's last May for breakfast. It was very nice! In fact we are going to go again next week. They have Mickey, Goofy and Chip & Dale. Goofy and Chip & Dale came around several times while we were there and Mickey came around once. The food was very good and the chairs are big and comfy. At one part of the meal they played music from the Lion King and Mickey led a parade around the restaurant. The kids were given maracas to shake while marching along behind Mickey. It was quite fun. I think you'll enjoy it. I liked H&V too but this is a good substitute.

My famil and I are very upset at this news of the closing.

We always eat there several times during our trips as it is (was) our favorite place.

My son is very saddened and now asking "what else will be closing?"

Something is going on here. It was always busy when we ate there.

We planned several meals there our upcoming trip. The food and atmosphere is just great.

I just don't know what is happening here...

When my travel agent told me that they were cancelling this, I was so bummed! We just went in October, and we loved it! Also, the place was packed at 8:00 when we went for breakfast, so why are they cancelling it?!?

Anyway, if everyone sends a letter or e-mail, maybe we can accomplish something - it doesn't hurt to try.

I sent two e-mails, one from my address and one from my husband's. I recieved a short, standard e-mail from Disney saying they had recieved my e-mail and appreciated my concern, yada yada yada. This was a while ago- when they first cancelled the character meals. This week a had a message on my answering machine from someone at Disney- I wish I would have been home! She said that they had recieved a lot of calls and e-mails and that they were being sent to the people who needed them. She apoligized and hoped I could find a character meal to satisfy my needs- again, yada yada yada. Maybe if everyone lets them know, they might reconsider.
