After watching the final show of The Celebrity Apprentice, I realize what a classy lady that Holly Robinson Peete is!!

I didn't see The Celebrity Apprentice, but I saw a touching interview with her and her husband. They had written a book about the ins and outs of Autism, how it has effected their son, and their family. I was impressed by her and her family.

At first she turned me off but when I realized she was a "Mama Lion" I was in total awe!

She kind of turned me off at first as well, but I have a whole new respect for her now. I guess our first impressions aren't always right. After seeing the final show last night she proved she is definitely a class act! :goodvibes

While I can clearly see her passion for fighting Autism, it doesn't excuse the way she treated the people with whom she was working. How you treat people is very important in my book...and she just isn't respectful or kind. I get that it's a competition and that she is passionate, but that does not excuse her behavior in my eyes.

Now, as for how she looked last night...WOW! She is a gorgeous woman! And her family is beautiful. I loved the way Rodney looked at her ~ he looked so proud of her!

I didn't like her at first either. In the cutaway interviews, she's always talking badly about her opponents, and was very two-faced. But, I also wondered if part of that was an act to get more air time. She's an actress, she knows what to do and what the producers want. If they ask her what negative things she saw in the task this week, she obviously knew how to come up with the goods. They did show her quite a bit because of what she had to say.

However, in the actual boardrooms, her competitors didn't seem to pick up on most of it - except Cyndi, who did say Holly talked on both sides of her mouth.

I think its all an act and her PR people told her she better start acting nicer otherwise Joe Public isn't going to like you anymore.

She is gorgeous though, no disputing that.

I really think she's cool. I've seen a lot of her on Oprah; they are good friends. I haven't watched the Apprentice. Can not stand Donald Trump. He's a pig.

I was rooting for Bret the whole time, but she seems like a very nice lady. She set a really good example for her kiddos, she lost, but she was very graceful and classy about it. Not only did she talk about the importance of her charity, but Bret's as well. She was genuinely happy for Bret. She also raised a lot of money for her charity, which is great, the fact that she created that foundation is awesome, I say good for her, you go Holly! :thumbsup2

i did not care for her, and i got especially tired of hearing her repeatedly argue with cyndi lauper over issues involving music-repeatedly saying that she's a singer as well, and infering that she was just as knowledgable and talented in that area.

i'm sorry, but when your basis for being a professional singer is doing the theme song for a tv show decades ago (21 jump street), performing in one of the biggest movie flops in history (howard the duck), and the like-it in no way measures up to the knowledge and talent of someone like cyndi.

i think she is confusing herself with diana ross whom she had a bit part portraying in that schlocky jackson made for tv movie years ago.

I am pleased that both very worthy charities received such incredible cash prizes, thanks to Snapple. With having to choose between the finalists, I rooted for Bret not only because of his personal medical issues he is currently dealing with but also because of the way he played the game. Holly did not impress me at all, she was very rude and argumentative, especially with Cindi. I also feel that she used Summer and anyone else that showed any support to her. Did you notice how Curtis did right by her in the final task but was not overly involved like he was for Sharon (previous task?) Curtis played the game well and of all the players really showed a very strong work ethic and likability.

In the finale, I did not like how Holly brought up that Bret was on Oprah and the cover of People etc. He nearly died, of course he should use the media to draw attention to his quick actions to the severe symptoms that came on so suddenly. I also thought that she was a bit insincere until she found out that her charity would get $250K as well, "most people don't know that we became good friends" if that was the case then I think she should have seen the writing on the wall and said that the most important thing to focus on is that he gets well and that the 2 of them can continue to work hard for both notable charities. JMHO

Someone on another site posted a link to a site where you can look at the tax documents the Hollyrod Foundation files each year. I wasn't impressed with how they manage the money they take in. Search for Hollyrod here to see for yourself.

i'm confused-the docs say her foundation is for autism AND parkinson's. she never mentions parkinsons, is it just there for some kind of tax or legal reasons?

I know someone will be able to be more clear but I thought during the finale she said when they originally started the charity it was for her uncle (?) who had Parkinsons? Then her son was diagnosed w/ Autism so they incorporated both of them into the charity.

She is quite a woman and I am happy that Bret won but happy both will be rewarded for their hard work .
