Hollister??

I really don't understand how that image could be 'way inappropriate', I mean it's a guy with his shirt off and a little bit of underwear showing. Just because he's cute doesn't make the image inappropriate!

I mean, if you're gonna talk like that, maybe they should take out all the Victoria's Secret stores that are in malls and relocate them to the outskirts of downtowns where all the bars and strip clubs are.

But who's to say the VS floor-to-ceiling bikini model posters aren't inappropriate? I'm embarrassed just walking past that store. :confused3

(And that's only the racy clothes and poses, to say nothing of the freaky message they're sending that that these images show how people are 'supposed' to look to be sexy. I swear, at our mall one of the posters is of a woman who is DEATHLY skinny, no exaggeration, and it makes me so, so sad that the woman, the people who wanted that poster, and the people who shop there all think that this is okay. All *I* can think about are those pictures of kids in poor, war-torn countries who are that skinny because they never have enough food to eat. And meanwhile that grown woman weighs ninety pounds intentionally. :()

I don't care about what's he wearing. The hand part is what I'm referencing too.

There's no reason to get snarky.

And you never asked me what I thought about Victoria's Secret. I also do not think they should have big posters of mostly naked models hanging outside of their store, but in my mall, they don't.

Megan, the picture would be inappropriate because families shop at malls too.
Imagine the poor mom or dad who has to walk by that store with their young child only to have to explain 'why that man has his hand by his p**-p**'.

I've seen this happen plenty of times at the mall.
Same goes for the VS posters.

Oh, you should see mine. They've got these HUGE posters, and yes, they're just as suggestive as the pictures posted earlier. Even their mannequins are creepily sexual. :scared:

Yuck.

Our's is pretty closed and you only see posters on the inside.

Well, I guess it's just that I'm offended by very little.

Heh. I'll be one of the first people to say that I like A&F's clothes.
Their clothes are extremely comfortable. I must admit that I wouldn't dare go in there by myself because the store DOES intimidate me...I don't like the darkness and loud music and such..But I think their clothes are nice.

The last paragraph, you just described me PERFECTLY before chemo. Well, minus the height thing.
Now I'm 40 pounds lighter but the same clothing size and I just wish I could find clothing in my size at some of those stores.
But they don't make normal people sized clothes so I don't shop there.
I totally agree! Sunday I went to Aeropostale and I found a pair of 00 jeans that won't fit my freaking 8 year old sister! And my sister is not fat! I sometimes get mad when I walk into Aeropostale and 00 pant sized XXS top sized girls glare at me because I tell my mom to look for a 9/10. I seriously want to freaking protest against these small sizes! They need to stop gearing their sizes towards 10 year old kids and start making their clothes for normal 15-16-17 year old sized teens!

I think a lot more people would shop there if you didn't have to be the size of a pole.
That's why I don't go there a lot!
I don't see how's it's really inapproriate, maybe a little suggestive, but I doubt many six year olds shop at Abercrombie. I don't really see how it could be a problem... Besides, that's a hot model xD.
Ha wanna bet? I see more and more littler kids these days decked out with coach purses, hollister/abercrombie/af clothes, and their faces covered with makeup. It's ridiculous!

Whenever I see that, I wanna smack the freaking parents! Why would you let your 10 year old dress like that? Why would you pay that for their clothes?
Just yesterday I went to the Mall of America and I saw a 10ish year old with a $200 DB purse. I mean co'mon! The girl is freaking 10 years old! I mean I have a DB purse but I am also 15(as of tomorrow) years old.

I hate Hollister and AF and AE because of their prices, quality, and sizes. I too am not a twig but I'm not the largest. I am built bigger top and bottom but I am no where near fat. I am actually one of the healthy teens who doesnt wear a size 00 pant or XXS shirt. I'm not afraid to say this. I wear a size 9-13 pant and a L-XL shirt. I weigh about 160ish but I'm also 5'8 and about 50+lbs of me is muscle. I'm fine with that. I just wish these stores would make normal sized clothes!

Like I said I dont mind my size but that statement got to me. You shouldnt worry about other people. YOu are one of the few who can shop at those stores........But I also kind of agree because like stated before, I weigh 160ish and I'm one of the few normal teens who arent worried about weighing 95lbs. Sorry if I am being rude but I am just sick and tired of people judging each other because they dont have California written across their chest or a small eagle on their shirt or if they are healthy sized and not a freaking stick.

Okay,
So its okay if you are 12 (oh come on so close to 13 eeekk)
and are wearing a size 7 and NOT a size 00?

because ALL my friends say they wear 00 and I am the only one that says "Uhm yeah no..i wear 7's.."

AND THEN
AFTER I SAY THAT
THEN THEY START CALLING THEMSELVES FAT.

I just blink and walk away.
Because them calling themselves fat makes me...chewbacca!?

Just because I weigh 113..
Good lord!
I mean..
Gosh.
I think 113 is okay for a 12 year old *twitches in chair*

You just made my day.
I thought I was the only one.
Thank god.

I personally lilke Hollister. I got a hoodie for Christmas and now I have like 2 hoodies a long sleeved shirt and a short sleeved shirt. Their clothes are so comfortable to me! I only get my stuff on clearance. I used to think that only the preppy rich kids wore Hollister but I was wrong. I love it. I don't like American Eagle though. Their clothes are SOOOOO SMALL!!!!! I'm not a brand snob or anything Ki just like the style and feel of the clothes

By the way my 10 year old sister wears aeropostale, pac sun, and hollister. And I buy it for her. It's not bad in my view.

For me personally, I think that that is an age where they shouldnt be obsessed with labels and what not. I see these young girls walking around, looking like minerature teenagers, and to me, its not right. Im doing an internship at the Middle School and I see way to many kids wearing labels...way more than at high school.

For a lot of people, I think its a phase, that during MS, you have to dress like that, and im glad that a lot of kids grow out of it once they reach High School.

And a lot of the girls are waaayyy to skinny. It really cant be healthy. I know I am really skinny for my height, but I eat like no other, and its just my matabolism doing its job. However, thats not the story behind every girl and to me, these labels are telling these girls that they need to be skinny, and therefore they dont eat or what not.

thats just my opinion though.

Woah! You scared me for a sec! I thought you were yelling at me! :p But you are a healthy weight! Your friends ARE fat...in the head! Not to be offensive to anyone but I seriously think people who wear a 00 need serious help. I mean that cannot be healthy!
By the way my 10 year old sister wears aeropostale, pac sun, and hollister. And I buy it for her. It's not bad in my view.
Well that's your view...:confused3 And if you choose to spend that kind of money for something she's going to grow out of soon because she's still growing, then go right ahead!

ITA! And the sad thing is, the parents don't care and buy the clothes! They want their "babies" to grow up so fast and have a high self-esteem. I'm sorry but no clothes can raise a girl's self-esteem. It takes way more than that!

I personally LOVE Hollister. I like live there. All there clothes are SUPER cute. But I have to say it's REALLY dark in there and it freaks me out sometimes. It's smells really good though. I have to wear like a Large there and that bothers me a bit because I usally wear like a Small or Medium at like American Eagle.

I own one Hollister thing.
My mum brought it home one day and I just kept it.
There isn't any near me.

But I really don't think I'd shop there if we had one. I don't live int he biggest city ever, so selection is pretty bad. Everyone would look the same (and the already do) and I don't feel the need to be wearing the same Hollister/A&F/AE as everyone else.
Out of those three, I only really shop at AE. And that's just for basics and jeans. I don't like A&F (especially their prices), and the only things I own from there are gifts.

That's just my oppinion.

Not hot, yet still asking to be raped.

Especially the top one ROFL

I'm thinking. That's just a totally inappropriate picture to be plastered in the mall! I mean those posters are HUGE and anyone could clearly see them if they even glance in the way of that store.

That whole 'my hand is going into the place of your dreams' pose is disgusting, especially for a mall.

He has really hairy legs too.. I think guys should shave their legs. It's just disgusting.

I hate those ads.
They're really not selling clothes at all. Come on, they have like hardly two articles of clothing on.

hollister and a&f are amazing i love them

they are so cute! :D

[(and their model arnt that bad either! <3)]
