Holidays & Seasons Swap: COMPLETE

sorry, I didn't want to take up a bunch of space with them....I can make them bigger if you ladies would like me too!

THey look great! I would love to see them larger too - -I don't care about the space. If the photos are on photobucket, you could make them a slide show. Just look for the slideshow tab -- it is really easy.

I will play with the resizing next week, have to finish up my stuff before I go pick up megan at 12:45...have a great weekend! I'll be back on Monday!

I am slow going here. I fell down our front porch the other morning at 6:15 in the morning on my way to work and hairline fractured my left wrist, so I am taking it way slower than I wanted, but it will all get done in time. They didn't cast it, just put it in a brace, thank gosh for the small things, right?

:flower3: Hope you feel better soon!

I was "shopping my stash" this morning and I found some adorable rub-ons for this group, including a set of Christmas song titles in a lovely sort of fountain-pen script. And guess what? There's just enough for three:goodvibes Would you all be OK if I changed from "St Nicholas" as a topper and instead did each one as one of the song titles? (I have a couple of non-religious if anyone does not celebrate Christmas per se, but given the title of the group I guess we all do:confused3)

Let me know if this is OK _ i'm doing the pumpkins first so you can have a think!

PS hope you get well soon Heidi! Don't try to do too much (leave that Big Shot/Cuttlebug etc in the box!!:rolleyes1)

Hiedi- hope you are better soon.

Sorry I missed the first check in- I haven't even thought about this yet and don't plan to do much on it until after Thanksgiving. I do however have alll the poaper and embellishments I need (I didn't sign up for anything I would have needed to buy somthing to make).

Sounds nice! As long as you think it still fits the Vintage theme, then go with it.

Mazda - that works for me!! I think I may have seen those rub-ons in the past...I love all the vintage stuff!! Would you mind if I (maybe) used your St. Nicholas theme? Maybe do "Jolly Old St. Nicholas"?? I don't know for sure that I would swith from Home for the Holidays, but I'd like to think about it. Let me know what you think!!

Fine by me!! I still need a St Nick set ;) but I found the rub-ons and they're a lovely font - sort of like with a fountain pen rather than italic (like you might get if you get someone to write fancy place cards IYSWIM) and I think they'll look just right - I might even add some gold or something to the first letter of each to make them extra Christmassy:goodvibes

They sound great!! Can't wait to see them! Thanks!! I'll sketch up some new ideas and see what works! I can ALWAYS use St. Nick!!

Because DH's family is HUngarian we always do St Nicholas as well as Christmas - putting the boots out for sweets and sticks (depnding how good/naughty you've been...) so I can always use it too:goodvibes

I've had those rub-ons a while - they came from a RAK one hallowe'en from some of you lovely ladies - in fact I think Susan had something to do with it;)

Hey! What a coincidence! I'M Hungarian too. Small world. My parents moved to the U.S. when I was 6. We've been here a while.

I love the old traditions!! We did the pickle hiding when I lived at home as a kid, so I have continued that in my own home with my kids. The only tradition my husband's family has is popcorn and cranberries on the tree. (I guess that counts??) It looks nice, anyway. So, we also do that. LOL We took a little something from each home and brought it to our own! :thumbsup2 We actually went to look at trees this weekend. We buy a tree with the ball of roots at the bottom so we can plant it after Christmas. So, we can buy it whenever and leave it on the deck until a few days before Christmas. But, DH needed to get a size idea to dig the hole. It will be WAAAAAYYYYY too cold by the holidays to dig. And, waiting will kill it. Anyway, that's us!
