So we are venturing off WDW property. We are DVC members so we are seasoned to the Disney ways. We have decided to go to US Dec. 25-28, 2014. We are booked at HRH. In the evening on 12/28 we will head to WDW for a week. We have 3 kids - ages 9, 10, 11.

I am hoping all you universal experts can help with a few questions.

1. We love the holidays :santa:. I read on the website that there is a Macy's day parade and Suess stuff. The website gave few details. Can someone give me some more information. Are they daily? Free or hard ticket? What exactly do they have?

2. Dining - We make daily ADR's at WDW. We really want to try Bubba Gump and Margerittaville. I can not find a reservation link? Can you make reservations? I can not imagine waiting for hours for a table during the holidays.

3. We have NO ISSUES with holiday crowds. We go to WDW x-mas and Easter weeks every year and handle the crowds great. What special holiday tips / events are special that we should try to hit. We will be there for EE and hit HP first. Beyond that what do we need to make sure we know / do?

Thank you so much for your help. :)

1. There is a Macy's parade every afternoon. https://www.universalorlando.com/Events/Holidays/Macys-Holiday-Parade.aspx

There are Seuss shows several times daily. They are free. https://www.universalorlando.com/Events/Holidays/Grinchmas.aspx

2. You can't make reservations for Bubba Gumps. You can make reservations for Margaritaville through www.opentable.com http://www.opentable.com/margaritaville-at-univeral-orlando-citywalk-reservations-orlando

3. With unlimited express you don't need much planning. Just go and enjoy!

The Grinchmas show is very cute. Plus, the Seuss area is all decorated for Christmas, and lots of Who's are walking around in their holiday outfits--lots of fun!! We also really enjoyed the Grinchmas breakfast at Confisco--food was just average breakfast, but the Who and Grinch interactions were super. Remember, the Grinch here is really the Jim Carrey movie version more than the original--the Grinch sat at our table and hammed for the camera, then loudly announced "I just FARTED." Which of course delighted my children. And DH ;)

The Macy's parade was much better than I expected. Not quite as unique as the Disney parade, but the floats/balloons are quite massive. There was a special area--just roped off, no bleachers or anything--for on-site hotel guests IIRC (if not, it was AAA) right at the corner. Not many people seemed to know about it, so we were able to sprawl out and enjoy. If you stay onsite, ask at the desk.

You'll have a blast!!
