Holiday Weekend Reserv. ???

Trying to get an idea on how hard it is to reserve a studio over 2 holiday weekends, MLK weekend in January and Presidents Day weekend in Febuary.

Anybody have experience trying to get either of these 2 weekends on short notice in the 7 month window. Say 60 or only 30 days in advance? Only reserving a studio at any DVC resort. Just need to be on WDW property in any DVC resort.

Can someone please explain to me why my post was moved from the DVC Forum to the DVC Community Board? This post discusses availability for reservations on short notice at DVC resorts.

As I look back at the title of the posts at the DVC Forum, I see: "Results of resort polls", "Treatment of DVC members", Quick trip report...", etc. Yet my post which discusses room availability was moved. What exactcly is to be discussed over there?

No idea about your post getting moved, but here's my experience with MLK weekend. This past Nov. we purchased a BWV contract with expiring points. I used them to attend a conference in Florida in January, including MLK weekend. I called in early December and was able to book a 1 BR at OKW Mon-Thurs, no problem and had to waitlist for the Sunday night (the day before MLK holiday Monday). The waitlist came through for us about a week later. So, happy ending. It was a chilly week at WDW though, but very uncrowded as well. HTH

I booked Presidents' Day at 11 months because of all the people from up North who get a full week off of school that week. Don't know if I needed to, but better safe then sorry!
