Okay, finally got everything done and it went postal this morning, Priority.

I'm locking myself in my room until I get the last couple ideas pounded out! That's always the hardest part for me.

I've got things pretty well in hand - I'm just stressing over how simple they seem to me. Some of yours sound much more intricate than mine & I was hoping to come up with something to jazz them up a bit more! LOL

The things I'd ordered for the birthday group should be here tomorrow so the assembly process should go smoothly once I settle these last ideas.

thats what I was thinking. Does anyone have a sizzix die of a cornucopia (which according to spell check, you aced it!)

Do you have Doodlecharms? What about making a large basket, cut out the square/rectangle in the middle and put the apples & stuff on top? Maybe more fallish than Thanksgiving. Do you have Animal Kingdom? You could make lots of little turkeys to frame the slide.

You would have to do neither. I have so much paper. Really. I don't even think I could make enough to fill a regular envelope that costs .41. Don't sweat it. Give me a sec and I'll cut some and scan them. The cornucopia already has a hole in it like a slide... hmmm....

ETA: Here it all is. I cut them in different colors because the fruit has leaves. Yikes. I also cut out the center of the cornucopia. It comes perferated. Let me know!

How big is the opening?

It is oval and measures 1 5/16 x 7/8.


ETA: just for comparison I got out my slide mount die and measured those openings. (I know I am a dork) Anywho,
4 slides: openings as follows... 1.5 x 1, 1.5 x 7/8, 1.25 x 1.25 and 1 diameter. It fits right in!

Any particular color you want for the cornucopia? (I'll never forget how to spell it now!) How about the fruit? Do you have something you are trying to match? If not, I'll make them tonight and mail it tomorrow.

the brown you have is good, they don't even have to match if you want to use scraps. And the fruit is great as is!
