Holiday Showdown...Disneyland Paris

Hello traycie2201 - I've always wondered if, as a Disney fan, you were a member of the DIS or any other Disney forums!! And now I see you have been for quite a few years!! I really enjoyed "your" Showdown, as both your families seemed to get on really well. :)

Is the show successful in the UK? I only have seen the one with DLRP as I could download it on a Disney side.

Hi everyone, thanks for the warm welcome, I use the boards frequently when planning my dis holidays and as you see am a member of the dis vacation club, we do however visit plenty of other places and aren't restricted in our views or travel to one place. It is really good to read feedback on the show and normally i smile and let it be but I felt I had to respond this time. I don't believe it can be downloaded but if you are able to access ITV2 it comes around every couple of months. ps although i seem to wear the same clothes for a week we were often asked to put them back on for continuity :-) have a wonderful day Traycie

My dad keeps on at me about this! I went to Barcelona in Jan and his first words were "see there are other places in the world other than disneyland!"

Also have booked to go to Paris in May and everyone knows I cannot possibly be going there without popping into Disney for a few days!

i can think of worse places!

My Dad does the same. Last year he said he would give me money if we were not going to DLRP. And so we made a 4 days trip to Rome, (which we would have done anyway) and he sponsored me with 200€. I wish he would do the same with DLRP.

I get this too from lots of ppl- theres many different places i want to visit and i will do but i love trips to DLP and want to have holidays there too- each to there own- if they dont get it then its not worth trying to explain- there loss in my eyes lol

and your guaranteed your going to love it and have a good time!

I have a 3 week road trip to the us next year (no disney isn't one of the stops i'm sad to say) BUT i will still be going to disney next year even if i have to walk there and sleep under a hedge to cut back on costs! :lmao:

usa is in july if i go for dismas that's 5 months to save:thumbsup2

tigger you're so right, and this year the mouse won't even be in any plans :-(
we are heading to santorini, cornwall and possible turkey but next year back to good old orlando, I love the fact that we never have a bad time , absolutely right with each to their own but as I proved lol it's good to step out of the comfort zone every now and then and try something new as you may be suprised and like it, I often think though what if i hate it shouldn't i stick to what i love already ??

marcus can your dad sponsor me to go anywhere :rotfl2:

Yes i do love to try something new- as you wonldnt ever know if you like something or not unless you try it-so i guess thats where the compromise comes into play but i guess you get the best of both world if you can try something new but then also have a disney holiday ;) lots of ppl have beach holidays but they just change the destination thats fine- i aint moaning at them for being boring but it just so happens that pixies dust does it for me and not lying around on a beach getting burnt!! Talking of same theme but different destination - i havent been to disneyland CA - that would be a new experience :rotfl: No -joking, i just dont know what it is but i just keep wanting to go back -therefore i will :upsidedow , its not like i'm never going to go anywhere else, but what harm is once or twice a year or two.

you know what? I can't think of anything worse than lying on a beach!!! but then 99% of my friends couldn't think of anything worse than being in disney!

(plus i live by the seaside i see the beach everyday haha:thumbsup2 )

I need my fairydust!

oh marcus that 200 could have bought you a detour....

Okay folks it seems that this thread has run its course.
Please continue general chats over on Mouscellaneous and a new thread for DLP trip planning :thumbsup2
Hopefully we'll maybe see you a bit more on the DLP board traycie2201 :)
