Ugh ! With all this snow around, is there anyone else finding that the only thing keeping you going through the winter is that slowly but surely the Summer clothes are starting to appear in the shops ?

So, has anyone picked up any holiday bargains in the sales, or have you seen anything that you want to treat yourself to ?

I was thrilled to see over the last week or so the start of the Mantaray swimwear coming into Debenhams, and Asda have got some swimwear in too. I'm not a fan of M&S, but I saw a lovely tropical looking tankini set that I may treat myself to

So let us know what you've bought, and if possible post a pic of it here too ... bring on the Summer top shopping

I am waiting for pay day, as saw some lovely swim wear in the shops on saturday and i need some for this years summer holiday

I'm definitely going to get some new swimwear this year. I tried to get some last year but couldn't find anything I liked in my size. I think I may have left it too late in the summer. I'll start looking earlier this year.

I bought a couple of new swimming costumes for our holiday in the sales at the end of last summer. I've also bought two new dresses for our cruise.

Yay ... love the summer shopping thread. Even though I need no more clothing unless I seriously deplete my full to bursting wardrobe. I love looking at what everyone is buying
Don't think I will be looking for swimwear as we are only heading to Venice this year ... but I will be looking for some nice summer outfits to wear over there and some sensible sandals for all the walking

I am sooooo wanting to buy things Nicky, but I haven't seen much in the shops yet, hopefully the sales stuff will be removed soon and the Spring/Summer ranges brought in

I think the only thing I've seen so far is a tankini set in M&S

Its on its way Mand, our website still has a bit of sale but we are updating it with the summer shop as we speak, and I know a few others who are updating the summer clothes as well.......Spring is just around the corner

Hi girls, I'm tempted to start buying things for our holiday for DH and DS if I can find some bargains. TBH I would wait until the sales start again but I did get a set of 3 cotton vest tops for £17 recently which were a nice pale pastels set. I really want to try a tankini this year I'm not confident about my middle showing. I have a one piece suit but I'm not sure if it will fit me I'm still losing weight but I'm top heavy always have been which limits my options a bit for swimwear. I tried on some shorts but a 16 was way too big and a 14 still tight on me. I guess I will wait a while longer. I did get a couple of tops in the last Next sale which I put away. DH bought me some Birkenstocks White Arizona £23 from amazon.co.uk a bargain and so comfortable too. Here's hoping my abdominal bruising disappears soon (had it for months don't know why despite seeing my GP however it might be something to do with my blood disorder and the rest of my excess weight comes off steadily so I can get ready for summer. Also looking for a decent overnight or carry on bag not a suitcase.

TK Maxx have some swimwear in stock including Zoggs tankini sets about £30.

I bit the bullet and ordered some swimwear from Littlewoods.com so hopefully in a couple of days I will be able to try them on. Since I have lost over 2 1/2 stones now I can comfortably think about getting in a pool again at last since I'm toning up all over. I really hope they will fit and that I will not have to return them, one is a nice longer length tankini set with adjustable ruched sides size 16 in tropical pattern with high rise black briefs and a mix and match pink shorts size 14 with striped tankini top size 16.... Fingers crossed .. Already got sunscreen , after sun ,sanitising gels , toothpaste and will get toiletries and cleansing wipes closer to our departure day. Cases are still in great condition too.

It sounds like you've ordered some lovely things, you've done so well with your weight loss, it's lovely that you've treated yourself

The only shopping I have done over the last few weeks is toiletry shopping, I'm still waiting for the Spring/Summer stuff to get into the shops. I have seen this tropical looking tankini set in M&S which I'm hoping to treat myself to very soon

Oh mandymouse that looks good I never thought of looking there! Team it up with a nice sarong and sandals and you are all set for poolside lounging. I will keep looking for the next few weeks all the stores here are changing stock to the new spring season stuff but they are so slow its like waiting for paint to dry;
I have some summer dresses put away that didn't get worn much last year so they are still in good shape I may just need a couple of short sleeved cardigans for evening wear so I'm keeping my eyes peeled for any that I can find but I must remember to look online for them too.
My main issue at the moment is finding smart knee length cotton shorts, no linen ones they crease far to easily, that fit well and flatter my figure it isn't easy.

Hey girls Dorothy Perkins have 20%off some of their clothing ranges online at the moment so it may be worth taking a look there. I have three dresses selected for later payment which come to under £60!! Some of the footwear is reduced too, might be handy if you are looking for new sandals or flat shoes. Keep looking for those bargains

Nope Mandy, no luck at all really. I've lost over 4 stone since last May and none of my holiday clothes fit. I managed to pick up some T shirts at the end of the summer sales which although a bit big now will do - but we fly in 6 weeks and I have a serious lack of clothes! Yesterday I got some cropped linen white trousers and a pair of cropped denim coloured thin trousers in Next at Cheshire Oaks ... part of the sp made for the outlet range but at least they're summery. Looking everywhere for long shorts and can't find them anywhere. Need to get a swimming costume too ....aaargh!

Mandymouse I finally got around to ordering two dresses from Dorothy Perkins with 25% off to collect from our local store , a nice black with white polka dots dress with a belt and a bird print grey one with a black ribbon tie around the middle and some black straight jeans and grey jeggings so not bad £79 for all four items. Your sandals look like a pair I have from a couple of years ago that look so nice and sparkly and they go with many outfits.
