Holiday Shopping 2011

I bought this beach bag today....

Asda

Can't say I'm in love with it or anything but I have REALLY struggled to find a beach bag, probably because the shops are just starting to get their Summer stuff in! It was only £3.50 so it will do!

I've also been hunting for travel adaptors over the last week or so and couldn't find them anywhere :sad2: I already have some somewhere but I can't for the life of me find them! Everywhere I tried (Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Home Bargains, Wilkinson's, Boots etc. etc.) either had none at all or had European but not US! Finally found some today in Bodycare, bargain at £1.29 as Asda and Tesco were both around the £2 mark.

Just thought i'd share my latest holiday purchase, just had to get it as play.com have 20% off t-shirts until Tuesday 22nd March :goodvibes
I saw it on truffleshuffle ages ago, but thought £27 was pushing it. However with 20% off, play.com was £18.37... much more like it :thumbsup2

I saw that shirt last night at USC in the Trafford Centre, it's lovely :thumbsup2

We go April and ive found it a bit of a nightmare shopping for kids stuff this year no where has much summer stuff yet!, ive seen excatly one pair of shorts that i like for the boys, Jess has been a little easier, might be shopping out there !!

I remember a few years ago when it snowed and Jacks coat zipper broke, i couldnt get him a new one for love nor money as everywhere had summer stuff out....nuts!!is it just me or is anyone else struggling???:confused3

ive done a next preview order from the spring catologue but its for priority delivery end of march...cutting it close as we go very beggining of april. last years preview tricked through a few bits each week.

I jsut updated my PTR with these outfits, all of which I've bought for the trip. :)

So I'm being a little lazy and copying and pasting.

I started sorting out my clothes and packing on Saturday, although my living room is still a HUGE mess with stuff everywhere!

I thought I'd share a few of my outfits for the first week, after that time stuff will probably start being worn in various combinations.

Day 1 - Magic Kingdom Morning

My new top and shorts (both Primarni) - I also have the CUTEST sunglasses form there too which are black but with a red bow on each arm, that are totally like Minnie Mouse bows.

That night we're going to Jiko for dinner, so I'm wearing white linen trousers with a purple bandeau top, (Apologies for the photo quality btw)

WDC6.jpg

Day 2 - Animal Kingdom

Outfit as yet undecided - it's between two.

This one, as it's pink, and I love this t-shirt, but I worry about the shorts in the event of a ride on Kali:

WDC1.jpg

Or this one, which I thought it apt as it has a big tree on it, and also as the shorts are like safari shorts,

WDC4.jpg

Day 3 - Epcot

We're off to the welcome meal at WCC after here, so this will be my outfit, as my mum and bridesmaids have matching t-shirts for the welcome meal.

WDC3.jpg

Day 4 - DHS and wedding rehearsal

WDC5.jpg

I also have this by as a spare in case we go out to a park in the evening, or if it's chilly and I need more than shorts:

And finally this is my dress for our 1 day anniversary meal at Narcoosees:

Wow Victoria !! I can't believe you've sorted out each outfit for each day .. now that is organisation ::yes::

Every thing looks great, though I particularly love the stripey Minnie t-shirt and the purple dress :thumbsup2

I know what you mean, I have found it harder for me as I've lost quite a bit of weight and my summer wardrobe just hangs off me and I don't like wearing shorts, but I have managed to find enough, I think. I want to pack light and do a bit more washing than I usually do anyway. As for the girls, I am lucky, because I'm a bit naughty and buy too much anyway their clothes stay in good condition so Anna's handowns are usually nice, we had a bit of a trying on session and a lot of Anna's late summer stuff still fits from last year. Mine both like to wear simple cotton dresses in the summer - I don't know what your taste is but H&M and Next have some great value stuff and you can now order online with H&M. I find on holiday most of their clothes end up stained with sun cream and all sorts. A lot of my friends with boys buy H&M too. I can vouch for their dresses, t-shirts, cropped jeans, cardi's and shorts - I buy a lot of my girls summer wardrobe from H&M.
Is was in Gap the other day and a lot of their stuff was summer suitable - and there is a 30% off voucher at the mo (moneysaving expert) which run out end of business tomorrow, I think.

H&M girls dresses

H&M Boys tshirts

i did a pre order with 15 %off for next for the summer book but it priority delivery end of march...cutting it fine if it dont turn up....

Doesnt help that Jack and alex are virtually same size now so no pass me downs for Alex, Izzy was in age 9 months last summer so nothing fits her...so everyone needs new stuff!
The girls ive managed ok, got jess some stuff from m and s and h and m and Izzy some lovely summer dresses, but no shorts anywhere for the boys.

i got some nice 3/4 linen trousers for me from next this week, and this top/ dress from dotty p.

Lovely purchases ladies! Love the outfits Victoria! :cutie:

I've been doing a little bit of shopping lately, mostly courtesy of ebay! :thumbsup2

So far, I've got:

Apricot14-9-10-030738.jpg
hof.png

The first dress is from Apricot and is my favourite :lovestruc The second is also from Apricot, but is actually a purple-ish colour instead of the one shown. I think they should have cost £30 each and I paid £10 each. I bought them in the January sales :thumbsup2 The third dress is from House of Fraser and, again, I think it should have cost £40 and I paid £12.

hof2.png

This one is from Linea, House of Fraser. I think I paid £5 for it. Figured it would be nice for a quick pop over to Downtown Disney from POFQ or just wearing around the resort :goodvibes DF wasn't too sure about it, from the picture, but says it looks much better in person :upsidedow

Some of my already-purchased swimwear. I figure the stripey dress would be good enough to throw on over my bikini, when I want to nip over to the foodcourt...or shop ;)

Lovely £30 white Warehouse top, bought brand new with tags, for £3 including postage! The skirt is also from Warehouse, and I think I paid £5 including postage :thumbsup2

These are two identical Warehouse dresses. They're gorgeous, they really are. I paid £12 in total, for both of them. Again, ebay! The 'grey' one is actually a medium blue

apricot1.png

I've also bought these dresses (Apricot), but I don't think they'll make it on holiday with me :confused3 They're a 'medium' which is around a 12/14...and they're already feeling a little big. I've still got 1 st 7lbs to lose until I reach my goal weight...

So, my purchases! They're really helping me get excited for my holiday! I'm still after some more tops and some shorts...and I've got my eye on some skechers sandals too! :thumbsup2

Love this t-shirt!!

The 20% offer convinced me to finally go for the Lotso T-shirt I've been wanting for ages!

Just ordered it. :)

Hope it doesn't take too long, last time I bought something from Play their delivery time was really bad compared to in the past.

Lots of lovely shopping there Kayleigh, I especially love that first dress (off to ebay to have a look now in fact) ::yes::

My DD bought me that t-shirt for Christmas and I wore it for the first time at the weekend as it fits nicely now I've lost a bit of weight. I love it :lovestruc

I saw that dress on ebay but I had just bought a plain black maxi so I didn't go for it - it is lovely though:thumbsup2

WOW ... you have some lovely items there ... love the maxi dresses and the white top. Amazing bargains too. Everything I watch on Ebay ends up going for over £20. Never find those sort of bargains. Well done :thumbsup2
