Holiday Shopping 2011

Thanks! :thumbsup2 I'm sooo picky due to low self-esteem - and avoiding my uni assignments! - so I spend a looong time scouring for clothes, especially on ebay. I love Warehouse (if you can't tell) in particular, so sometimes I limit the search for that and go through all the listings for two or three days...and then do it again a couple of days later. Most of the bargains are last minute ones :thumbsup2 I tend to find the listings that end at odd hours i.e. late at night, during the day when people are at work etc are the ones that tend to cost me less. When selling, Sundays always seem to get me the highest prices :thumbsup2

Really love seeing everyone's goodies! You're all gonna look gorgeous! :cutie:

Love this t-shirt!!

The 20% offer convinced me to finally go for the Lotso T-shirt I've been wanting for ages!

Just ordered it. :)

Hope it doesn't take too long, last time I bought something from Play their delivery time was really bad compared to in the past.

I ordered that on Monday! It said that it was despatched yesterday, so hopefully it will be here in the next couple of days.

Lots of lovely shopping there Kayleigh, I especially love that first dress (off to ebay to have a look now in fact) ::yes::

My DD bought me that t-shirt for Christmas and I wore it for the first time at the weekend as it fits nicely now I've lost a bit of weight. I love it :lovestruc

What size is yours Mandy? I went for Large, because I don't really like them tight and I am around a size 12 now, do you think it will be ok?

Lovely shopping everyone!

Torsie - I can't believe how organised you are!
Rohais - I love your polka dot dresses they are gorgeous - totally thekind of thing I would wear!
Jo - Isn't it amazing what you can get done when the kids aren't with you, although my DH would say that I spend more!:rotfl:
Terri - Yes I am struggling to buy summer stuff too, it's annoying though as I have only got 47 days to go now so need to get some new stuff for the kids sorted!

I have bought loads since I last checked in here, I will post pics later on if I get a chance, but I have been trying to stay away from the laptop in the evenings lately as I have been using it a lot at work. I just check my iphone and that's it! :goodvibes

I've got a large too, and I'm a 14 up top ;) so it shouldn't be tight for you Gems :)

Love the lotso t shirt I have it as my iPhone cover in bright pink!

I jsut updated my PTR with these outfits, all of which I've bought for the trip.

So I'm being a little lazy and copying and pasting.

I started sorting out my clothes and packing on Saturday, although my living room is still a HUGE mess with stuff everywhere!

I thought I'd share a few of my outfits for the first week, after that time stuff will probably start being worn in various combinations.

Day 1 - Magic Kingdom Morning

My new top and shorts (both Primarni) - I also have the CUTEST sunglasses form there too which are black but with a red bow on each arm, that are totally like Minnie Mouse bows.

That night we're going to Jiko for dinner, so I'm wearing white linen trousers with a purple bandeau top, (Apologies for the photo quality btw)

WDC6.jpg

Day 2 - Animal Kingdom

Outfit as yet undecided - it's between two.

This one, as it's pink, and I love this t-shirt, but I worry about the shorts in the event of a ride on Kali:

WDC1.jpg

Or this one, which I thought it apt as it has a big tree on it, and also as the shorts are like safari shorts,

WDC4.jpg

Day 3 - Epcot

We're off to the welcome meal at WCC after here, so this will be my outfit, as my mum and bridesmaids have matching t-shirts for the welcome meal.

WDC3.jpg

Day 4 - DHS and wedding rehearsal

WDC5.jpg

I also have this by as a spare in case we go out to a park in the evening, or if it's chilly and I need more than shorts:

WDC2.jpg

And finally this is my dress for our 1 day anniversary meal at Narcoosees:

WDC8.jpg

I love all the outfits. The second option for the Animal Kingdom day really kind of fits in with the theme.

Lovely purchases ladies! Love the outfits Victoria!

I've been doing a little bit of shopping lately, mostly courtesy of ebay!

So far, I've got:

Apricot14-9-10-030706-2.jpg
Apricot14-9-10-030738.jpg

The first dress is from Apricot and is my favourite The second is also from Apricot, but is actually a purple-ish colour instead of the one shown. I think they should have cost £30 each and I paid £10 each. I bought them in the January sales The third dress is from House of Fraser and, again, I think it should have cost £40 and I paid £12.

This one is from Linea, House of Fraser. I think I paid £5 for it. Figured it would be nice for a quick pop over to Downtown Disney from POFQ or just wearing around the resort DF wasn't too sure about it, from the picture, but says it looks much better in person

Some of my already-purchased swimwear. I figure the stripey dress would be good enough to throw on over my bikini, when I want to nip over to the foodcourt...or shop

Lovely £30 white Warehouse top, bought brand new with tags, for £3 including postage! The skirt is also from Warehouse, and I think I paid £5 including postage

These are two identical Warehouse dresses. They're gorgeous, they really are. I paid £12 in total, for both of them. Again, ebay! The 'grey' one is actually a medium blue

I've also bought these dresses (Apricot), but I don't think they'll make it on holiday with me :confused3 They're a 'medium' which is around a 12/14...and they're already feeling a little big. I've still got 1 st 7lbs to lose until I reach my goal weight...

So, my purchases! They're really helping me get excited for my holiday! I'm still after some more tops and some shorts...and I've got my eye on some skechers sandals too!

You found some great bargains there. I love shopping on Ebay.

My Lotso tee just arrived!!

It's great. :) Nice quality for what I paid, and I'd say quite a generous fit to anyone who's wondering. :)

I bought 3 x dresses from Peacocks over the weekend through their buy 2 get 1 free offer - can only find 1 online though they must be new in stock for summer:

YES!!!!! :thumbsup2 Oh well done, Mandy  I couldn't see them for looking, honestly!!!

They are fantastic with jeans.. I love 'em!!!

I only found them by doing a search on the New Look website under 'flowery' :rotfl2::rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao:

I went to New look today looking for some wedge sandals after Karen told me about her journey into New Look on wednesday. Sadly, I didn't find any that went with my tops, I couldn't have looked in the flowery section :lmao: but I bought some accessories from there:thumbsup2

Karen and I popped into a local boutique yesterday and I saw a lovely top, I didn't buy it but I think I will go back for it tomorrow!

I'll keep you posted:)

OK, I have been bad, but I have been bargain hunting on Ebay again. This dress was only GBP20. It is very light-weight and as much as I love my existing formal and semi-formal dresses, they all weigh a ton. This arrived yesterday and I was a bit disappointed when I unpacked it, but I tried it on today and it looks stunning. I will wear that for semi-formal night on my cruise:

This is the dress I am going to wear for formal night:

This dress I have chosen for Palo night:

Dress4.jpg

This dress I will wear for pirate night with some suitable accessories:

Dress2.jpg

This dress I will wear on one of the other nights on the ship, just because I can:

Dress3.jpg

I have not managed to snag this one yet, but I am hoping to get my greedy hands on this:

The first three dresses are full length gowns, the last three are knee length.

I look forward to seeing a pic of your top when you get it Jo ::yes:: One thing that Coventry is lacking is any decent boutiques

Nice dresses Corinna, they're perfect for your cruise :thumbsup2

I love those Cherlone dresses Corinna ... my DD has the one in the photo. She wore it for semi-formal when we cruised in 2008. My other DD had a similar one in blue. I have been looking at getting one for formal night as they are very lightweight.

I was passing through Primark yesterday to buy "red" things for the girls for RND. I spotted a woman walking around with what I could see was a top of sorts in a lovely print. When I found it on the shop floor I was over the moon to see it was one of these open fronted flowy types tops. I've had my eye on one in Top Shop for ages, but at over £40 I was finding it hard to justify (and it was a little too cropped for me ;) ) So I got this one for a bargain £10 and it looks amazing with white jeans and my new pink Birkenstocks:goodvibes

I bought a couple of vest tops to go under it, one in the same colour :

100_0016.jpg

And one in contrasting pink (I have tied the front of the top in this pic).

100_0017.jpg

Below is the top I saw when I was with Karen on Wednesday, I went back to the shop today and bought it. Again, I think I'll wear it with white jeans.

100_0015.jpg

....and the great news is - they all size 12!!:banana::banana:

 Woohoo for sze 12's Jo, well done hun

A lovely bit of shopping there, and that flowy top is a bargain too ::yes::
