Holiday Shopping 2011

It's my DD's birthday next month and we're having a girly day shopping in Birmingham on Wednesday to get her some presents, and by the sounds of it she wants holiday clothes, so I'm looking forward to doing some holiday shopping, even if it isn't for myself ::yes::

Shopping is great, even if it isn't for yourself  Hope you have a great day out :thumbsup2

Gorgeous purchases everyone! :goodvibes

I haven't bought anything new recently :sad2: Went to buy a pair of skechers last night from the sports direct sale, but decided to think about it instead. They've got laces and I prefer the elasticated ones :thumbsup2

I'm back from a lovely day shopping for my DD's birthday, this is what I bought her :~

Looks like you had a successful day. I absolutely love the dress.

Well, I have also a bit more holiday shopping to report. It is not "holiday shopping" in the traditional sense, but I have bought this for my next cruise.

We are going to renew our wedding vows on the Disney Wonder in October and I ordered my dress for this a while ago. It arrived just before Christmas, but today is the first time that I am home alone without the risk of Graham walking in on me for a while. I love this dress.

I had a little mini shop today, and I treated myself to these sandals from M&S, this is my first flip flop type as I have never been able to get used to having that bit between my toes, but I thought I would give these a go as they are so nice

I also bought this little nautical purse from Debenhams

I also got some nautical pants, but I thought I'd save you from that pic :rotfl2::rotfl2:

That really is a beautiful dress Corinna :goodvibes and I love those new flip flops Mandy! Very sparkly :) :) :)

I have done hardly any shopping for the summer yet :( and there are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly, I had to quit my part time job recently, so I'm not going to have as much money to buy a new summer wardrobe as I would have liked. And secondly, I have no idea what size I'll be in the summer. I've being doing a diet for the past couple of weeks, and it's going well! Whilst I know not to expect a miracle, I'm hoping I'll drop a size or two by May/June, and therefore I don't really know what size to get. I'll think I'll just hold out a little longer....

But I love seeing what you guys have been buying!! :goodvibes

I have bought one dress. I bought it around a week ago at Matalan. Here it is:

I just :lovestruc the pattern!

When I bought it, I was aiming to wear it to my orientation/training when I start the ICP. This'll be held in the Disney University - eeeek!! However, on reflection, it seems it won't be formal enough :( Never mind though, I'm sure I'll have plenty of opps to wear it when I'm there!

The belt came with the dress - I haven't decided whether to keep it on, or ditch it....

I also had this top made (excuse the clashy bed covers :rotfl:) to take on the ICP too! Will be a nice "keepsake" after the prog too :)

Under the "World" bit, it says "United Kingdom Cast 2011" - SO EXCITED!

I love those sandals but I also have issues wearing toe posts ... I would love to find something similar though without a toe post. Cute purse too :thumbsup2

This is a lovely dress Beth. And the top is really great too :thumbsup2

well my dress came yesterday and it fits so hubby has said why not send it back and get a smaller one as i am hoping to loose more weight,

Very nice purchases ladies! I especially love the nautical purse, Mandy!

Not really a holiday purchase but I may take it on our cruise with us. I ordered this earlier after deciding I wasn't buying it, well then I got an email from ASOS offering free next day delivery if ordered before 5pm so I couldn't resist...

Been looking for a similar dress for a while but I'm extremely pale (think Casper the friendly ghost ;)) that I'm not sure it'll work for me. I'm now on the hunt for "nude" tights, but nude enough they'll match my white skin, as I'm planning to possibly wear it to a 21st at the end of the month.

I've been a bit of a returner lately :flower3: Ended up returning both the jacket and the green dress I posted in my last few posts.

Beautiful dress Corinna, and I LOVE those hair vines they are fabulous! My DD would be having a fit to wear those!

I am also another who can't get on with toe posts, although I have got a pair of Birkenstocks that have toe posts and they are ok in small doses, I would never attempt a park or anything in them!

Beth - I think the belt may come in handy if you do lose a lot more weight as it will help define your waist and therefore make you look even skinnier than you will already be! :thumbsup2

Love the dress!

I've not bought anything this week, as I have been working etc. I need to sort out kids crocs and stuff, but I might wait until there is a £5 offer at Sports Direct again, as long as the kids aren't too picky about the colour they have.....although something tells me that they are going to want pink and green!

Lovely buys everybody, nice blingy sandals Mandy, I hope you get on with the toe post.

I went to a local boutique today, I try to stay out of there as I always end up buying something, I've had a few dresses from this shop that are the same brand and I saw them recently in Dotty P's so when I was searching on line I discovered that there are a few sellers of the dresses on ebay, so I got this brand new dress for £16.99 instead of the boutique price of £38.
