The terribly hard DVD for me to find for purchase is The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh/Alias Dr. Syn (1963) starring Pat McGoohan. It desperately needs to be re-released from the Disney Vault but likely not enough popular interest to make it commercially viable. I saw it as a child on the CBC's Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights. I then happened across it by accident on satellite approx 10 yrs ago but didn't have PVR then. Thrilling & scary & classic & English all rolled into one. But bizarrely expensive to buy on the collector's market.
An easy & usually cheap as chips DVD to find is The Three Lives of Thomasina (1963) also with Pat McGoohan. This is an easy gift for the cat lover in your life or those with children who adore cats. Can usually find it for under $15 on
amazon. My nieces adored it & took the DVD to school for a snow day class viewing. I play it every other year. For some reason, I always think of Teresa when I watch it. She would go kitten bananas over this movie.
