So if you had to pick one resort (or maybe two) to visit for the sole purpose of viewing holiday decorations, where would you go and why?

Not counting the Grand Floridian (because we're already planning breakfast there one day). :thumbsup2 With some time to kill between breakfast and the Christmas party that night, I thought I'd come to the experts for advice on our first holiday visit!

(We'll be there the second week of December and staying at AKL, in case that makes a difference to your answer...)

Definitely the WL.

The Wilderness Lodge is truly breathtaking during the holidays!!! It's where we stay for Christmas. So lovely!! I also like the BC/YC for their gingerbread creations!

Don't mean to hijack your thread but, does anyone know how long the resorts and park's Christmas decorations are kept up. We are arriving on January 7.
I have heard that some of the decorations may still be around.

I also recommend the Wilderness Lodge. My daughters and I stayed up all night and watched the decorations up there. It was amazing! The tree is so impressive. :santa:

Don't be surprised if they are in the process of coming down the day you arrive.

hmmm... AKL/jambo house has a relatively similar setup (and relatively similar architecture overall) compared to the WL.

might be a better alternative in your case to swing by the boardwalk to check out the lobbies at BWI or BC/YC...
