You're welcome Heidi. I don't think the spoon can with stand the heat. Enjoy.

MissBubbles posted on the sign up thread that she received hers from powellrj.

oh good, I was worried because it should have come a few days ago! I'm glad she got it!

I'm getting ready to leave town for our conference we are hosting and won't be back until next Monday. My package will be mailed on Friday as I have a few more things to buy ;)

Received my package Saturday from powellrj (Rae Jean). Some very cute things - a Halloween hand towel, wild bird trivet, loads of recipes...Now I just need some time to try & fix some of these! LOL

My package will be mailed tomorrow.

Big hugs to Kelleigh1! I received my exchange from her today, with lots of Pampered Chef goodies[she's a consultant] - bag clips, toast tongs and a yummy sounding dill dip mix. She also sent her own cookies - in - a jar - mix, and 5 great recipes, all LAMINATED so I won't get goo all over them when I cook.{ I am a VERY messy cook - how did you know?}I had forgotten all about peanut butter balls - can't wait to make them again, thanks for the reminder! Smiles, and thanks again!

I'm going to the post office in five minutes. Of course, now that my box is sealed up, I realize that I forgot to include a card with my DIS name, etc. Sorry. We'll figure it out. Anyway, my package is heading west!

Also, I am heading to Wisconsin for a training tomorrow. If I get my package while I'm gone, I'll have to post Friday!
Have a great week!

Christmas Stockings

Recipe By :Grandma Hazel
Serving Size : 36 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Cookies

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 cup butter -- softened
1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 teaspoon red food coloring
2 1/4 cups sifted flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
For surprises
9 candied cherries -- quartered
1/4 cup broken walnuts
1/4 cup chocolate chips

Mix well shortening, sugar, flavorings, food coloring. Blend in flour and salt. If dough seems too dry, add a few drops of cream. Chill one hour. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
In the palm of hand, pat 1 level tablespoon dough into oblong, about 3 x 1-1/2" lengthwise.
Down center place surprises - 2 choc pieces, 1 quarter of cherry, 2 pieces nuts. (I recall that she always places the chocolate in the "toe" of the stocking.)
Mold dough around surprises into roll 3 inches long.
Place on ungreased baking sheet, turning end of roll for foot of stocking.
Bake 10 to 12 min. Cool.
Frost tops & toes with confectioners sugar icing.

That was fast!! I just mailed it on Saturday...right at Noon. They had to unlock the door to the post office to let me out. Glad you like everything! (I went to the grocery store on Friday night to get the rest of the ingrediants for the jar cookies! And I'll be making more of those as Christmas gifts.)

The dill is actually from the Pampered Chef spice line. It is fantastic!! When my husband worked at Whole Foods, he would bring home "bread samples" (basically a whole loaf of bread that the delivery guys would give him) and I'd split it, spread some butter on and sprinkle with the either the dill or the italian seasoning, then stick it in the over for a little bit. It just added a nice little pick me up to the bread.

I had wanted to add a few more PC items, but because of a delay in submitting my last show order, I couldn't get them in time.

The recipes...I laminated because I know what mine look like from using them so much. Smears of chocolate, flour, etc. And I realized that I need to laminate some of my own so I can just wipe them off so I don't ruin them to the point where I can't read them.
