So, we are trying to go to Universal for 2 nights over the Christmas Holidays (12/27-12/29). I know this is a expensive time, but rooms seem to be astronomically expensive (over 300/night for the cheapest room). Apparently there are no passholder rates either....
My question is...do you think it will stay this price or will they go down as it gets closer and rooms don't get booked???
Anyone ever gone over the holidays and gotten a better rate??
Any advice???

We went last year and started at a AAA rate at RPR for $234 went down to $218 or something for AP rate and then the they came out with a SS rate where the more you stay the less you pay so we got 7 nights for the price of 4! at an average of $126 a night. We made our ressie in March and every couple of months I checked rates. All you have to do is call and tell them you want the new rate and they will change your ressie. We went Dec 19-26. Rates went up the 26th as I recall as did the park attendance. It was wonderful staying onsite though and not having to wait!
