We are at the resort 11/10-11/13 I know the grand opening is on 11/13 which is great but will we get to enjoy anything on a soft opening basis?

Also what is the Jingle Jangle Jamboree?:santa:

I highly recommend you hop on over to the Christmas/Holiday SuperThread for lots of great information about the holiday season at DLR.

Sherry's second post has the calendar:

If the Disneyland Calendar is to be believed, Believe...in Holiday Magic (fireworks) and the Christmas parade will already be running.

For Jingle Jangle Jamboree, check out Post #5 (Frontierland):

Thank you, figment_jii, for linking those posts.:goodvibes

Also, dmcdixie, this is the introduction post to our recent Frontierland/Jingle Jangle Jamboree Theme Week in the same Superthread that figment_jii referenced above. Not only will you see photos of the JJJ in that post, but if you enter the thread through the link in the upper right corner of the post, you can follow along with all of the other participants' photo contributions for that theme as well, to give you a sense of what's at the JJJ.

Unless something changes this year, the Jingle Jangle Jamboree is where you can meet Santa, pose for photos with characters in holiday-ish attire, play holiday-themed games and enjoy holiday crafts and treats. There are also a lot of cute rustic reindeer decorations and knick knacks. There should be some form of entertainment or music too, but I'm not sure what it will be this year.

The Parade TV taping will be the weekend before that. I would imagine that SOME decorations are up. Maybe some snow on the castle and a few strips of Garland. But who knows for sure....

And HMH has been running since September, so that will be up too. But as far as a soft opening for IASW, it's highly unlikely. Disney has been doing this overlay for years and they know how long it will take.

Last year the Jingle Cruise overlay consisted of the skippers wearing jungle santa hats, a wreath at the entrance and holiday music in the queue. We were told there would be holiday jokes, but I rode it twice and didn't hear any. There were no decorations on the ride itself, but since it was the first year, they may do more this year.

IaSW is slated to open on 11/7 (or at least the refub is currently slated to end on 11/6), so that one will be open while the OP is there (11/10-11/13).

When did you ride Jingle Cruise last year? I was there in mid-December and there were a few in-ride decorations. The tiger was wearing a Santa Hat and there were presents scattered around the over-turned jeep scene.

Jingle Cruise actually got more holiday touches as the season wore on last year -- there were more decorations along the ride in December than there were in November.

IASW Holiday is opening on 11/7, as are the other things that I listed in the link that figment_jii posted above (my Dates to Remember/calendar post). IASWH always opens before the holiday season, but it's not really announced. It just pops up on the DLR calendar, or it doesn't pop up but it opens anyway, and it could always be held back until the opening day, but the pattern has been that it opens early.

IASW opened one day early 2 years ago. I remember because we decided to add an extra night so we wouldn't miss it, and then laughed when it opened a day early.
