Holiday Quest at the Parks

You're probably right on this one. We asked and that's what we were told. I didn't go on the Jamboree since it's easily one of my least favorite attractions. We sent the 3rd member of our group into this attraction while me and my cohort in crime went on Haunted Mansion

#7 - I chose "Baseball mitt, bat, player" and that is what the official answer sheet now has. I did not see a ball in the garland, just on the part of the building it was hanging on.

The Ball is in the garland IN the sports themed store. That was where we went to look. It has mostly the same garland that the outside of Casey's has, apparently.

#9 - Is correct in the guide. This is the second one I missed, because the Caurosel Of Progress was down when I was there and the castmember at the entrance thought it was "2073".

That's amusing because we specifically went back to tell the CMs at the attraction what the answer was and they wrote it down in the book they have that tells all about the ride and what not. Guess that CM didn't know to go look there.

Ah well Atleast we have better corraboration now

I only looked at one section of the garland over Casey Corner's food counters and did not look very closely. Maybe I missed the balls or there are some in other sections of garland.

In any case I would go with the present answers on the official answer sheet to be sure and get the prizes.

Update on the yellow or gold soldiers in case anyone cares: I asked Host Annie in the game last night if they were part of the Holiday Quest prizes (this was before I printed out the quest page and saw what the prizes were). She said no and I asked how you get them. She said "I don't know".

WDW. He didn't say which answers were wrong. But he did ask me if I'm sure you can't spell supercalifragilistic... He also asked if I saw a snowman or snowbear. It is a snowbear. He didn't really seem to care what the answers were, he just gave us the cards.

I'm getting the impression they don't actually care what you answer Which does tie in to the often lost philosophy at Disney of "Making the Guest Happy", probably because the quest does only run for a limited time they aren't *so* concerned that every answer turned in is correct.

Pardon if that last paragraph is incoherent. I'm taking some *lovely* cold mediation right now. I think I can pass for several of the dwarves at the moment (Sneezy and Dopey come to mind. Sleepy may tie in later.)

I turned in our quests yesterday, and she marked that the one about the garland in Casey's was wrong - I had choice two and she marked choice three - but didn't say a word, and handed me my three sets of cards! I love having my mother's park hopper pass she uses when she comes to visit - I can get an extra set of everything!

I think they are being very lenient as well! A nice gift from Disney.

I know that I have been to the parks more often this fall/winter due to VMK - and although I have annual pass, no matter what I say - I always wind up dropping a nice chunk of cash during the day!

I did the Holiday Quest on Thursday at DLR. One of the answers in the guide for question #2 is wrong. I actually do the quests before checking the answers (more fun and fair that way), and there is no apple peeler near the reindeer at Santa's reindeer round up. There is, however, an ice cream maker. I saw it with my own eyes and the CM accepted it as correct. By the way, if you do the quest, the Haunted Mansion questions while you are on the ride are extremely difficult because it is so dark.

I hope this correction helps everyone! Please include it in the guide, Mal. And remember everyone, do the quest for the fun of it and use the answers from here to double check yours before you turn it in. ) Besides, the holiday quest doesn't relate to the tour, so you have the whole day to complete it.

When I turned it in the CM kind of said something similar, actually that 5 of the 6 items were there and since the question only asked for 4 (the answers in the guide) I got it correct. The 5th item was the Ice Cream maker. No Bird Cage.

Ah. Thanks for the info! I searched carefully, but didn't see the apple peeler. However, there were tons of people standing around looking at the reindeer, so I may have missed it. Kinda bad of them to have extra items to make it more confusing!
