Holiday Projector

does anyone else use a holiday projector, on the outside of your house..

do you use the slides that came with it ? or do you make your own slides..

I make my own..I have all Mickey slides....

actually I had lights all the way across the back, had to replace them and the new strings are shorter...

I'm lucky to get around to putting lights on the trees...no projectors in my future.

I love my projector,

I made a set of Mickey slides for it before I ever plugged it in, I have never used any of the slides tht came with it...LOL

We got one last year and never thought of making our own slides! Love your Mickey...how did you make him?

I made a template like this with publisher....

I print a sheet of these on cardstock for my slide mount, I then cut out the center circle....

using the same template I insert the pictures I want to use..making sure the picture fits within the inner circle......I print these on transparency paper... with my color printer....like this...these are a few non-Mickey's I made....

I then cut out the picture and glue the slide to the mount..

I now have my very own, one of a kind Mickey slides for all occasions and holidays....

when cutting out the picture, cut out the outer circle...this gives the neccessary border to glue the mount to...

I love it! We have one of the projectors but we need to get a new light bulb as it died on us on Halloween . I would really like to try this out.

if your projector takes a 75 watt bulb..I think it's an m-16....try kmart..they have them with the christmas stuff...

my bulb died last summer and I had a heck of a time finding one....I'm buying a supply from kmart.....
