Hi all,

I am new to the site and looking for as much help as I can possibly get. We have a group of adults traveling to do New Years Eve Disney style. I am trying to think of the best way to get to Magic Kingdom for New Years Eve day. We understand that it is going to be busy, and that there is a real possibility of the park closing down by 9am that day, which is why we are trying to figure our best plan of action. We would rather not deal with traffic of trying to park at the Magic Kingdom (we are staying off property), I thought about parking at Downtown Disney and catching a bus to Contemporary and then getting on the monorail, however we weren't sure that buses would be running as early as 7am. Our other thought was to park at Epcot and catch the monorail that way, thinking that Epcot wouldn't be as busy. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated!

Valet park at the Contemporary. You can park there all day once you pay for it. You can then walk to MK. Parking at Epcot also works. We did the opposite. Parked early at TTC, monorail to Epcot, and then finished the day at MK. But parking at the Contemporary would seem to be the least trouble.

That sounds like a great idea! I would never have thought to park there, for some reason I thought only guests of the hotel were able to park there. Thanks for the info :earsboy:

Not if you valet park (at least not that I have heard), but on that day you might have to worry about valet parking being full. That early, maybe not.

I'm hearing mixed things as far as parking at the resort...friends of mine just informed me that upon entering the resort you are asked for your reservation number, otherwise not allowed into parking lot. I almost feel like this all is more of a hassel than just waiting in line to park at MK (TTC).

On another note, if we do brave the traffic to park at MK, if they have the park opening at 9am, what would be a safe bet to get there by? 8am?

How often does valet parking at the CR fill up? I was thinking of doing the same thing but later in the day.
