Holiday overlay - removal ?

I was just checking on MousePlanet and it seems many rides are down for quite some time to install the Holiday overlay. Some, like HM, are down for 20 days !!

Since I am planning on being there in January (17-20) and the overlay will be removed by then - I was wondering if these same rides will still be down for the removal of the overlay ?

Basically, my question is : How long does it take to remove the stuff ? (I'm hoping not 20 days !) and when do they start taking it down ?

No guarantees until you see it on the DL calendar, and even then, no guarantees.

My best guess is that HMH will be taken down beginning Jan. 5th. It will most likely be re-opened without the overlay while you are there. However, I would suspect that IASW Holiday will be down for the removal of the overlay during your visit since they typically begin the removal about a week or two after the HMH.

Again, just guesses based on what they have done in the recent past.

Agree with the above, just wanted to add...

With IASW, all bets are off since it has been done for the longest renovation ever, it would seem that they would make every effort to not have it down for too long once it finally comes back up. Yes, I miss my Small World!!

This past January, HM was down from January 7 - 24 to remove the layover. Hope that helps.
