Holiday ornaments and gifts

We were at DL this summer, and I forgot to buy a sweatshirt for my daughter. I was getting ready to call them, and thought--how cool would it be if they could send some ornaments to surprise her with as well?

Since we can never go in the winter (work and visitation with her grumpy dad), I would love to do this, but I don't know what ornaments are the coolest, etc. And of course, there are no pics, simply because the goal is to have people buy there!

Does anyone have any pics or suggestions of cool holiday stuff? She's ten, so almost (but not quite) at that "cool" stage....

These items were sold in 2007 and 2008, and then I think a couple of remaining items in the collection were sold last year. They always seem to have things like this - in that gingerbread theme - even if you can't find these exact things.

Because it's a cute "cookie/candy/ice cream" theme for this line of souvenirs, if you can find them your daughter might like them. I've seen them pop up on eBay quite a bit too. Or on Laughing Place.

What I would do is, when the holiday season begins (on 11/12/10 - fairly soon), you might want to give Disneyland DelivEars a call and ask them if any of the stores in DLR still sell the gingerbread cookie ornaments, mini-frames, magnets, etc.

There were also some cute ornaments (photo by Disney Dreams in the Christmas thread) with the Little Green Men from Toy Story trying on Mickey's sorcerer hat, and Rex from Toy Story with a pair of mouse ears on his head.

I always buy my kids the Holiday sweatshirts every year. There are many shops that sell ornaments too. I would think about posting on the Christmas thread to see if anyone is going before TG to see if they would be willing to post pics.

If you go to Laughingplace.com and look at what is in their store, it may help. Her items are more from WDW if I remember right, but many are in both parks. You can then call and see if they have them at DL.

Thanks everyone! We always go in the summer, so for some reason, I never thought about a christmas section.

I love all the ideas, so off I go to look a bit and get excited! If anyone else has anything extra to add, I'd love to hear that, too!
