Holiday Magic and school schedules

We are going to plan a 2005 Christmas trip, I think...but we really can't miss school at that time of year. Everyone talks about Cmas being such a wonderful time to visit. Is it still wonderful if your choices are:
Friday before Thanksgiving until Wed
Dec. 16 (Friday)-22
Dec. 29-Jan. 3

I'm used to going in May. (moderate season). Christmas sounds like a fun and unique time to see the world. Is it worth braving the crowds if this is the best we can do schedule wise? Any thoughts on which time would be more magical?

I'm a teacher, my DH is a teacher, my brother who is going with us is a teacher and this is my dad's last year as a teacher since he will be retiring... I understnad the following the school calendar thing.. We have no choice!We are headed to WDW from 12/23- 12/31 2005.. I guess we are gpoping with very real expectations, knowing it is going to be an extremely busy time, but I have also heard that it is an amazing and beautiful time to visit ( we have done Easter 3 times, so it is a lot of strategy). I wish you the best and I bet you will have an awesome time when you go! We can't wait!
