... so that is it beyond doubt we are going to WDW in 71 days :woohoo:

Wonder how folks celebrate once they have emptied their bank account and paid of the final part of your holiday?

What are the next aspects of your trip planning that you focus on?

Congratulations, it must be a relief to know that it is all paid for, I'm looking forward to that day... :cool1:

:lmao::lmao: Well I usually try and concentrate on filling the bank account back up for spending money!

Congrats on paying it off - it's kind of nice in a funny way!

gems:goodvibes

Congratulations :cool1:

I usually concentrate on packing-i know its a while away but i usually spend this time to buy new clothes and toiletries etc

plus as Gem said save up for spending money ;)

I can't say that I celebrate as such - other than breathing a huge sigh of relief about the fact that it is now definate.
It then hits home a little more and we start going on the internet with the kids and planning what parks they want to do, which rides in particular they fancy or maybe some off site shows like the Blue Man Group.
With the excitement levels at fever pitch 'fine tuning' becomes almost a daily routine.
Well done on getting yours all paid up - and happy planning :thumbsup2

Spending money is always next on my list when I'm planning my Florida trip.

Although I have to say I'm a bit behind at the moment, we had to do some major work around the house recently, its nice to go on holiday but its even better to have a roof over our heads.

Good point about the spending money guys :) DW has been raiding the £1 coins that anyone has for the teramundi pot.

I like the sound of fine tuning Kenny. Mind you as if I needed an excuse to trip plan :rolleyes1

As SIL is going across at the same time we will probably meet up a couple of times but also trying to give them space so they can have that magical first time visitor experience.

The introduction of the different parade/firework show as well as WWOHP definitely gives plently of food for thoughts :surfweb:

Congratulations    I always think it seems 'real' once it's paid in full!! :rotfl2:

We've usually done all our planning by this time so spend the last few weeks clothes and toiletry shopping, packing, checking the exchange rate to get the best I can :rotfl2: then having a massive spring-clean of the house and tidy-up of the garden. Am I the only one who needs to come home to a spotless house and tidy garden?? :lmao:

ETA: Forgot to say I always spend this time worrying that either I will go without our passports or tickets (and yes, I forgot my cruise tickets this time  ) or that one of us or the dogs will get ill.

Breathe a sigh of relief and start saving for spends, tickets (and other extra's) and start shopping for holiday clothes. :goodvibes

Congrats Reid! It's a lovely feeling to have it all paid. :goodvibes

I'm exactly the same Elaine. I have to thoroughly clean the house before I go, although I am dreading what a mess I will come home to in June as hubby will be staying home!

Ours is due 12th June and the weeks seem to be coming round so fast!!!! I will be so much happier when it is all paid for!!!

i never pay it off way in advance...that would make me too nervous.....
the only thing i pay months in advance is the one night deposit for the disney resort..and the rest of the room fee is paid on arrival at the disney resort..
i pay for the plane tickets about 4 days before the flight...i make the reservations way in advance, but don't actually buy the ticket until the last minute i can...

i still haven't finalized my flight for my June trip..
i still have to change the date (advance it by a week)....i'll buy the ticket a few days before i fly..

actually, there is an exception to my not paying in advance rule....disney cruise lines...then i'm forced to pay it all off by their deadline (2 months? whatever it was, i can't remember)...

It must be a lovely feeling to have it all paid off.:goodvibes I'm still saving for my trip.:thumbsup2

Ohh what a lovely feeling!!! We don't celebrate . . . we get depressed about all that lovely money leaving our account!!!:rotfl2:

The final balance was due 16th April so I held off till almost the last minute ;)

I did weep for a moment about the drop in the savings but a holiday to WDW is ample compensation :goodvibes

The Dibb has a great planner utility here.
Filling the days is a great way to continue the countdown :)
