Holiday Inn (the one behind Mickey & Friends parking structure)

Hi all,

Looking at this hotel has a potential quick getaway in Sept. Our preferred hotel was sold out, so I have a couple questions.

1. Can you access the tram in the parking structure for a ride to the park? Or is it just best to walk into DTD from the hotel to access the parks?

2. There are mixed reviews on this hotel. Does anyone know how recently it was renovated or what kind of condition it is in?

Most of the reviews are positive but there are enough on the lower end to make me reach out to this group with its vast travel knowledge. I tend to trust Dis-ers over the random TA reviewers.

Is there a certain spot to enter the parking structure as a pedestrian?

Right now you enter from Magic Way just past the pixar pals structure. Depending on the time it may be faster to walk to the parks through DTD than waiting for the trams.

Also, keep in mind that one the pedestrian bridge to DTD is complete the trams may only be accessible by crossing the bridge.

Although its been a good amount of time since we stayed there it was not to bad 3 years ago IMO. If you walk to the Tram I would just continue to DTD. You can get through security pretty quick there and jump on the monorail. If you have MP I would suggest going in at the Monorail even if you didn't attend on using it so you can activate your MP and start getting things right away. You can then ride or go through the exit right away. We usually stay at Anaheim Majestic now and choose to walk to the park and take the shuttle back. The walk usually takes about 15 mins from the hotel to the security at DTD.
