Hi

We are looking to book a short break to Disney :yay: and were looking at possibly staying at the Holiday Inn offsite. Was hoping you could answer a couple of questions. Does anyone know if the safe in the room is included in the price or is it extra? Are you given a breakfast time slot or can you go when you want? Any other tips or advice? Many many thanks. :goodvibes

Do you mean the Holiday Inn at Val de France - near Explorers, Dream Castle and Kyriad?

If so we stayed there last summer- it was really nice. There was a safe in the room (in side the wardrobe I think) which was free of charge.

Dont know about breakfast as we booked without breakfast as we had dream passes so wanted to go in early for EMH then grabbed something in the park. We had heard that HI breakfast wasnt very good compared to lots of other hotels. Most do have a breakfast slot whci you book on checking in but often they dont mind if you turn up whenever (When we stayed at Explorers there wasnt anyone checking breakfast tickets you just put them in a basket near the door)

Hi. Yes it is the one near the other hotels - dream castle, explorers etc. Have read mixed reports about the hotel, including the breakfast, some good some bad. Also some people have mentioned that the hotel is noisy and you can hear the people in the next room! :confused3. Would you recommend it? Have dream annual passes already and want a reasonably cheap break so that's why we were looking off-site. Dream Castle gets good reviews but is booked. Exploers is another option. Any suggestions? Thanks:)

We were not give a time for breakfast and you just go when it suits you :)

Hi

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in November and it was excellent.

A really nice, clean, friendly, family hotel.

Safe in the room is included in the price and as has already been said is in the wardrobe.

THe breakfast is really good aswell, we had it a couple of days during the week and it filled us up so we only had a snack lunch - very good.

You don't have to book a slot just turn up and quote your room number - very straight forward and a good tastey breakfast.

Enjoy!!

We have stayed at both HI and Explorers and would happily stay at either again. We didnt find them particularly noisy - the only thing I would say about HI is the reception was very busy. there only seemed to be one person booking people in and out so try to avoid busy times if possible.

If you have dream APs have you tried phoning Disney to see what rooms are available on site with discount as this may work out even cheaper

i stayed at the holiday inn for the last 3 years and i'm staying there again this year. it's a great hotel very clean and the rooms are spacious would definitely recommend it!

We have just booked to go to the HI in June, and are hoping that it's nice - you may want to check out the prices on wshtravel - we are booked in for three nights, 2 adults/2children for £172 inc breakfast. Quote FRIENDS in the discount box. Seems better than other prices that I could find anyway! HTH

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn and thought it was a lovely clean hotel. The kids were not impressed with the pool as it was a bit on the cold side.

The rooms were comfortable and I loved the breakfast as you got toast ;)

Thanks all for your advice and information. Have booked the Holiday Inn for beginning of April so I hope the hotel is as good as you have all said. Either way, we will be in the parks most of the time. :woohoo: , so so long as it's clean, that's all I'm really bothered about. :)
