I have ressies for 2 rooms at ASMO but the hotwire deal seems to good to pass up, so I want to pick some brains! LOL
How far is it of a walk to DTD? Are there major roads to cross and if so, do they have crosswalks and walk signals? Do kids eat free? Does anyone know how much the breakfast buffet is?
We really like DTD so I'm thinking mybe this would be a good place to stay since park hours are short, we could go there afterwards. I know there is no Disney theming there so I am a little wishy-washy. Then again, I don't think the kids care as much as we do! LOL We can always go visit the resorts. We've already stayed at ASSP and POR-riverside. Will we be real dissapointed by going semi off-property? Bus transportation isn't a huge deal for us because we prefer to drive with my ecv (it's easier). Besides, couldn't we walk over to DTD and grab busses anyways? Even with my AP discount, this DTD hotel is such a great deal.
So, what would you do???????
TIA!!

oh yeah...does anyone know where I could see a map of the general area so I can show the family here to there. Thanks again!

You have to cross a major street, but yes, there are traffic lights for pedestrians. If you opt to take the bus to the parks, you will need to catch it from the hotels. The busses do not run from DD to the parks during the day. We are also staying at this HI for part of our next trip. We've stay on Hotel Blvd. before and love the location. And the price is just right too!
