I have booked a trip to Disney World from February 6-11, 2005 and was wondering if anyone has reviews of the Holiday Inn Maingate West. We are looking for a hotel with kid suites.

I find that these forums are very helpful and I would appreciate any feedback.

Thank you.

I don't know that one but we stayed at holiday inn family suites(soon to be Nickelodeon). It is under construction but I hear it is not obtrusive. They offer kids suites and used to offer free breakfast. I'm not sure if that has changed yet. I know it is changing after construction in May 2005 if not sooner. I did just get an email from them that the oasis nick water park like pool area is complete and it looks awesome. You may want to call and get an update. Just my two cents.

My parents and sister and her kids all shared a kidsuite here last June. They were very pleased with the hotel. It had a nice pool area, a restaurant on site as well as many nearby. It is right off of 192 and Sherberth road, so it is a fast and easy entry to WDW without the traffic.

They had shuttles, but I don't think the times were all that convenient (much like all off-site shuttles).

The rooms here are not the two room suites like at the newer Holiday Inn that they are refurnishing, but the space was adequate for basically 4 adults and an 8 year old child. I believe that it also had a frig and possibly a microwave.

Hope this helps.

My wife, I, and our daughter and two grandchildren spent fourteen days at the Holiday inn Maingate West at the end of June. It was a little crowded for the five of us, but otherwise everything else was fine. We had a kid's suite and it seperated the youngsters from us older folks, which worked out very well. The room was cleaned every day while we were gone. It had a frig, coffee maker, microwave, and a safe. The hotel people were very friendly, and we no problems at all. Sidfishn
