HI!

I stayed there last May. Is your reservation paid in advance? If not, I would suggest you choose another hotel. The place sure ain't worth $110/ night.

well ive calmed down a little . No my ressie is not paid for, at some point last night while talking to this woman, one of the things she said to me was if I make a ressie online it will be charged at that moment, when all over their website it say, "We do not charge before your stay " or what ever. I was beyond frazzled, I asked to speak to a manager or someone in charge I waited 15 minutes on the phone, finnally someone named nick came on explained to me that the hotel is closed atm, and wont re-open until wend. he said he would call for me and that the # I have sounds like a hotel ressie #. ok starting to make some sense, I say to the guy, well im also looking on the internet and it says stay one night get one night free, which will save us over $200, everyone eles says that there is no such thing, the guy says hold on a moment, comes back and says yup its for that hotel blah blah, Ill call the hotel for you and get your rate changed to that, make sure there is a ressie for you. blah blah blah, I say to the guy "can you please tell me why you were able to find that yet the 8 people I talked to before you had no idea about it and basically said I was lying?" he said, well all I did was click on a button, so I cant say they were lazy about it.............. If I do not get a call back by wendsday I am calling Disney All stars, is it possible to make a ressie a week and a half before your stay?

needless to say, I am really wanting to save that extra $200 this trip, but next time we go we wont be staying there

Is there some reason you need to stay at this particular place? THere are lots of other affordable options. How about Comfort Suites Maingate East? It is right behind the Holiday Inn Maingate East, and can probably be gotten for around $50 a night. Or how about Comfort Inn LBV or Country Inn and Suites LBV? Both of the latter are much closer to Disney. Anyway, if you are interested in any of those, please let me know and I will let you know how I found a decent deal on all three.

No we dont "need" to stay there, it just had everything we were looking for, traveling with 3 kids, 11 ,6, and 1. we liked the kitchenette , we need somewere to keep the milk for the baby. I know some other places you can rent a fridge, but this one included one. my original quote I got 4 months ago when I made my ressie was $74 a night, which I dont think is alot now a $110 is alot , I will not pay that. All stars would cost us $480 or something, but no extras.

Remember that we just had a hurricane here, so they may not beable to get right back to you. Power and phones have been on and off. So please have patience, with any hotel you are dealing with right now.
Good Luck :D

Sorry, I am not trying to give you a hard time or anything. I was advised by another poster to try the Comfort Suites which I have been told is much newer and nicer. I was able to get Comfort Suites for $49.50 a night. They have free shuttles and a complimentary breakfast. Also, I have read lots of review which have been for the vast majority very positive.

I do believe that at the Disney resorts you can get a refrigerator free if it is need for insulin...perhaps they offer this free if you have to keep baby milk fresh too. I'd call and find out at least.

Has anyone ever asked Disney about this before? If so, what is their policy?

My understanding is the free use of room frigs at Disney resorts is for meds only.
Last August we stayed at WL. A guest in the room beside us mentioned he was paying for frig in their room so they could refrigerate their son's antibiotic med.
I told him he should have received it for free.
He stated he thought so too, but was told no.
So apparently even med reason is selective on free in room frigs.

And many phones have been sporadic for working or not, esp in that area.

so the hotel opened, I called this morning and asked about the rate, (they did have my ressie), they said I would only be able to get that rate for 2 days, b.c its labor day weekend, and for those 2 days the price for the room would be $119 b.c of the rate and no free breakfast, so its better for us to keep the $75 a night and free breakfast.

www.avistahotels.com you will find the days inn hotel on there website that is very affordable and you will be probably be able to book your rooms with no problem. We have stayed there before the rooms are nothing special but they are clean with a nice pool. And they have a buffet breakfast that if the adult buys the kids are free I do believe. I think the rooms are under 40 dollars a night. rates may have went up since our stay. but if your just looking for a bed try this one.
