Hello all!

I will be traveling to Australia soon and will be staying at several Holiday Inn's for 2 weeks.

I am only allowed 1 checked in bag and 1 duffle according to various of my flights measurements so i will definitely be needing to do laundry while abroad (which i've never done)

I'm not sure if I will have time to go to the coin laundry within the hotel due to tours and such so it would have to be "dry cleaning/laundry"

I just got off the phone with Holiday Inn where they told me they can't tell me the price of the service so does anyone here know more or less how much it would be? Not sure how it works.

Thanks so much! :thumbsup2

Hotel laundry is very expensive. What I would do is ask where the closest dry cleaner is. I would bet money it's going to be much cheaper to let them do it.

You should invest in some clothing that can be washed in your room sink and hung up to dry in the bathroom just in case you find that getting laundry done is a problem.

Have a great trip!

Even the 'by the pound" fluff and fold places would be cheaper than the hotel laundry service.

All the Holiday Inns I have stayed in have their own laundry room with washer and dryers. The cost has been $2 per load for each but may be different in Australia. You can always get change at the front desk to do laundry.

When I traveled abroad, I had to do laundry about once every 9 or 10 days, if I washed out delicates by hand. Of course, I was in Europe in the winter, so sweaters and jeans such could be worn a couple of times before being washed. You may be able to get by doing laundry just once on your trip if you can wash out some things in your room. Are you going to Australia on a tour or on your own, taking tours when you get there?
