I never saw this hotel talked about here, so thought I would give my review of it.

We just got back and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Garden Grove. There is one in Anaheim, but we were sort of last minute so they didn't have the room we wanted.

It was only three miles away, easy drive to the Mickey and Friends Parking. In fact, we saw a group of women with matching DL vacation shirts there.

No long line at the front desk. Ok- we checked in at 9:30pm after a day of DL, but check out at 7am took less than a minute.

ART stops there, but I would still rather take my own car. If you get there at opening, you park in Pinocchio which is an open lot and not far from the tram. The trams were not crowded either. Most times we just hopped on.

The hotel was pretty nice. We got it for $99 a night through Travelocity for two queens. Free internet. Free parking and easy to find a space. The free breakfast was pretty good too. Not as fancy as the Embassy Suites, but much better than most places. Loved the cinnamon roles! :)

The room was comforatable, not cramped. Comfy beds, choice of hard or soft pillows. The shower was awesome. Curved shower curtain rod and the BEST shower head I've ever used! Thick towels, not those thin things even fancy hotels like to give you. Only one sink in the bathroom, but there is a mirror over the desk that I used also after washing up.

We would go back again. I know a lot of people like to walk to their hotel, but I'm tired at the end of day. And I do not like crowding on to shuttles. With our car there, it wasn't hard to go out to the car and drop off packages once during the day, and then return to the park. We were also able to move our car up to a better space at that time too.

I'm glad You posted this.
:goodvibes
In Feb. we stayed at the Holiday Inn in Anaheim. It was Nice and had a shuttle to the park.

I'm debating with staying there again in Feb. or Mar. or staying onsite.
If we stayed there it would be more savings for Cancun in May.:confused3

Thanks for posting of your experience.

Have a Great Day!

We always stay at Holiday Inns when we travel. I particularly like the Expresses. They are pretty good across the board (no matter what location.) The worst one I stayed in was in Holbrook, AZ. I have stayed in super nice ones (like the one in Armadillo, TX) that had granite countertops and brand-new rooms.

My parents always stay at the one in the Bay Area before they leave on a flight, so they suggested trying one down by DL. The one in Garden Grove looked nice, not old and worn like some hotels get.

We stayed at this hotel last year in Sept. and then this year in March. In Sept. we had a King suite. King bed with a pretty nice chair and ottoman. It was just DH and me so it was really a good size. We stayed in a 2 queen room in March and had 3 of our children with us. They won't do a rollaway unless it is a King room. So our kids slept crosswise on the bed. They did just fine. We like this hotel but opted to stay across the street at HoJo's this next time. We don't want to drive and park, just want to walk across the street. Besides we got the Ent. rate and that beats Holiday Inn Express prices any day. And we don't have to park. Although I think my kids will miss the tram. They love to ride it! :confused3

In Sept. the breakfast wasn't as good as in March. They upgraded their breakfast in the last little while.
